The pool
Love the new extended hours, especially the pool!
Sure wish Cleaver had a hot tub, dry and steam saunas like Kirk and NKC.
I think it is always very clean and I appreciate the effort regarding the shower curtains. Good job!
Diversity of people and programs.
The staff and the participants.
This YMCA is the friendliest place in town! It's very clean and welcoming. I miss Elaine Nichols as our water exercise instructor. I pray for her healing and return to the job she so passionately performed. I appreciate Lea pitching in to fill Elaine's shoes. I have only one suggestion for Lea. I think we could hear her better if we either turned down the music in the room or eliminated it. It's been a bit hard to hear her instructions. It might be a bit easier for Lea, as well....to not have to yell over the music. My gratitude to all of our land instructors, too. I feel like I have tried a good variety of land classes too and have enjoyed them very much!
Our team at the front desk area is wonderful and so important in welcoming all!

Great staff...always so welcoming.
Love the diversity!
I like the diversity of age, race and class of the people who use Cleaver and the diversity of programs that are targeted to different groups. Cleaver Y represents our City in special way.
Very clean, staff are amazing, and pool was good.
Friendly, welcoming staff. Working with Monica regarding my balance.
I love the small environment and the family-like culture.
The classes, instructors, and personnel are welcoming.
Lots of classes and friendly environment.
Clean facility. Friendly people at the desk. Wide variety of classes. i wouldn't change a thing.
I love the weight class with Rebecca! I believe her classes are Monday and Wednesday. She is very welcoming and fun to try to get fit with. However, she needs a bigger room because her class is so popular. It would be great if there was a Friday class also in addition to her Monday, Wednesday class, possibly even a class on the weekend for weights.
I also left the diversity of the class with race, age and abilities.
I would love more opportunities to volunteer my time and learn new things possibly games like Mahjong? If it’s possible to bring someone to teach a group? And offer many different classes I bet a lot of people would even pay extra for this.
The YMCA is a community of people who share an interest in health and well-being of not only themselves but the people around them. I love the way people greet and encourage each other. I am proud to be part of an organization that is more than an exercise venue. At Cleaver Y we have food giveaways, movie night for kids, kids' zone, community garden, pickleball and much more. You get to know the staff at Cleaver because they make the effort to know you and your interests. I was a regular at Swinney Recreation Center at UMKC for 20 years. When the pandemic hit UMKC kicked old people out of Swinney Recreation Center and I am glad they did. The YMCA is better and cheaper.

The people, the activities, the pool. friendly. welcoming, kind
