The Y has a great variety of classes with fantastic, energetic and enthusiastic instructors. I look forward to going to classes every day and is motivated and pumped up when I leave. The personal trainers create an individual plan that will help you strengthen weak areas of your body that you did not know you had. The most important thing I like about my personal trainer is she is very knowledgeable and she likes what she is doing. That is very important to me. The people that I communicate with at the front desk is very friendly and always greet you by name and with a smile.

The Y has opened up so many opportunities for my family. Anything from working out, swimming, or the homeschool classes that they offer. I'm truly thrilled with everything they have to offer!
I enjoy the various activities available. It is not just a fitness facility with weight machines and free weights with treadmills, etc but also pools, whirlpool, etc. plus various group activities as well. Gives one a variety of options to utilize.

Community, child care, kids night out, classes
I'm giving a 9 for the Platte County North facility. If it were for PC South, it would be a 6, maybe 7. We live much closer to PC South but are willing to drive a couple of days a week to PC North because the facility is much more welcoming.
We love the Platte County North facility, very friendly and great choice of classes at times that are convenient for those of us who work. The water classes are plentiful as well.. Aqua Zumba, Salsa, etc.
The Platte County South facility needs to do the same... the availability of the really great classes are during the day.. great for the stay at home Mom's but not for the rest of us. There are classes after 5pm, but they aren't as plentiful and too many people in a class. Some of the instructors need to put the music down a bit... you cannot hear their instructions when the music is up to 10 when having it at 7 is more than enough to get people pumped up. Parents need to keep a better eye on their pre-teen kids as often times they are clumped together on the track and blocking the way for those of us who use it and when you ask them to please move to the side, they either don't or mouth off. Mentioning it to the staff has done very little to change things. This is a big reason why we visit the PC north or even north KC facilities.
Give the free class to people who have had cancer. Great class

I have visited 3 YMCA's since joining. All are very clean. the people who work at the facilities are friendly and helpful. the classes I have taken have been taught very professionally. I love the ability to do other things at they Y besides the classes I take. there is a wide variety of classes and times offered.
Provides a clean, orderly environment for patrons to use the fitness equipment and programs. Most new users are surprised with the variety and possibility also with the quality of programs.
The social aspects utilized by many of the patrons is important because it fills an important need for many of the consistently attending seniors.
