I like the one-on-one tutoring aspect of Mathnasium. It's not just about students completing worksheets, but the personal math guidance and the answering of student questions by the Mathnasium staff that makes a key difference. Try to parallel (or perhaps slightly foreshadow) the Virginia Beach public school curriculum at the student's current grade level to optimize results. Continue to provide detailed written feedback to parents on the progress of the student. Keep up the great work.
My daughter has been going to Mathnasium for 7 months now, 2-3 times per week. She gets help with her math homework and works on the math skills sheets that have been put in her binder based on the periodic Mathnasium assessments. Not only did her grade in honors Algebra 2/Trig move up from a B to an A, her PSAT math score improved 60 points over last year. She loves the teachers and the way they teach math at Mathnasium, and she ASKS to go there!

Amazing program. Both John and Spencer provide an amazing support team for my girls as they are moving through their junior year. Both girls have sharpened their skills and confidence. My daughter WANTS to go to Mathnasium and enjoys working on her math with the wonderful and very capable tutors. They create a friendly, non threatening environment for students that gives them confidence in their ability to do math. Not only do they help her with math homework, but she works on skills that will help her on the SAT. We recommend Mathnasium to everyone we know!
Your tutoring was able to refresh my son's knowledge of Math up to Algebra !!/Trig for him to be better prepared for college. Thanks- he enjoyed the sessions, the tutors and was very motivated to attend the 3 sessions per week.

My 18 year old son has been very motivated to attend. He gets along with the tutors well and even has been staying past the scheduled time, when allowed, to continue to review the work . How well this helped him, will be determined by how well he is able to understand the Pre- Calculus math concepts within the first few weeks of college.
Everyone there has been great to work with and my daughter enjoys going and getting the additional math help.

I can't say enough great things about Mathnasium, John, and the other wonderful instructors!! My kids love going, have fun, and are learning at an impressive pace! Their math teachers both commented on their improvements several times before I had the chance to even let them know that they were attending Mathnasium. I never thought my kids would be so happy and willing to go to math classes after school and through the summer! I really can't say enough!!

My daughter attended Mathnasium for one year during third grade. We joined because she wanted a little extra practice in math, and she needed a boost in her math confidence. We got everything out of it that we wanted and more. Participating in the program really bolstered her skills and confidence, and she ended up working ahead of her level, getting a great jumpstart for fourth grade math. She really enjoyed attending the program, the instructors were very fun to work with for her. I would highly recommend this program to anyone who's child is struggling at all in math, or just wants an extra challenge. I will not hesitate to put her back in the program if I feel like she needs it again. Thank you Mathnasium of Great Neck VA for all you do!
