Mathnasium has done a wonderful job helping Kahreem to catch up with his grade level for math. Kahreem has more confidence in math than ever before.
The Mathnasium continues to keep our son engaged and excited about math. They cover a lot! Word problems, continuing patterns, multiplication, division, times tables, order of operations, polygons, subtracting big numbers, etc. He loves it, and we are thrilled with what he is accomplishing in just one hour a week. Our daughter has been able to keep up with her advance math class.
Teaching is individualized. There are no "groups". There are always plenty of teachers in the room. All are cheery and know each student's name. Their feedback to the students is always positive. The program has a printed curriculum showing each step of every math goal. All the teachers are "on the same page" because each child's individual list is on the table where the child is working. The teachers circulate, encouraging and helping. There are only a few students at any one time so the teachers can spend as much time with a student as needed. Each child has a white ring binder for keeping track of progress. There is nothing in the room that shows what level anyone has achieved. There are small rewards for reaching a goal. Attitude is a major part of learning and my granddaughter's attitude toward math went from "totally defeated" to "I can do this!" in just the first two weeks. Scheduling is very flexible.

Hi Kokila, I want you to know that we had a great experience. The assessments really helped to target the holes that KJ had with math and because of these improvements he made it into the advanced math class.
I am not sure how helpful it was for Alina. She stayed at the same level for her math skills (97%) before and after.
We found an individual tutor for KJ for the coming year. He has his first math test today, so we'll see how that goes. We may come back in summer. Thanks again, Susan
My daughter was in in advance math at Stoller. She attended Mathnasium weekly to help her with Math Count homework. Instructors at Mathnasium are very patient and knowledgeable. They spent time going over the problems with her and ensured she understands.
