My son loves taking summer sessions at Mathasium and he always learns a lot. He was enrolled last summer and because of Mathnasium, he got way ahead and 9th-grade Algebra was a breeze for him but not for some of his schoolmates! He's doing Geometry this summer and I know he will excel in Geometry during the school year. The online format is working great for us, too.
My daughter entered Mathnasium about a year ago. She is a smart girl, but lacked confidence in her math abilities because it didn't come as easy to her as other subjects. I thought I would have difficulty getting her to actually go on a regular basis since she is a teenager. Within a week, I could see her whole attitude about math change. Her math skills began to improve quickly, but more importantly, her confidence in her math skills soared. I have recommended Mathnasium to others and will continue to do so.

My daughter understands math so much better after joining mathnasium. She attends at least twice and at most four times weekly. That is the best part- the ability for her to get daily help with understanding the concepts that have confused her in class. This has been a much better approach at learning math skills for her than once a week meeting with a math tutor.
I engaged your services for my 15-yeat old nephew (algebra and geometry) woes...frankly it may be hereditary, yikes! After the first session he was immediately put at ease and the following tutoring sessions improved his overall "math outlook".

Not everyone's brain "works" that way (math-wise), Mathnasium is able to give a different perspective/approach to math concepts and theorems.
I wish Mathnasium had an Algebra II course, though.
My daughter has gone from years of tears over math homework and math test anxiety to a student with confidence in her math skills. Some kids just need to be taught math in a different way than is being taught in school. The years of her feeling dumb because she struggled with math comprehension are over.
My daughter joined during the Summer and participated during the camp. Continuing now during the school year and so far is showing very good progress. We will continue coming.

My daughter hated math. It was never her strong subject, and because she didn't pick up concepts as quickly as her peers, she felt "dumb" even though she's a straight A student in her other subjects. I thought I would have a difficult time getting her to attend Mathnasium because she's a teenager and would feel a stigma going there. To my surprise, she loves it and actually asks me to take her. In just 6 one hour sessions, we already saw improvements on standardized test scores. We couldn't be happier!
