I've been wanting to sign my son up with a Mathnasium for three years but didn't because 1) he was grumpy and did not want to go, 2) our busy schedule, and 3) I didn't find a Mathnasium that had the right vibe. That is, until we stepped into the Laguna Niguel location.
Just looking at how the front desk is set up, you can tell this is a very open place. No desk placed all the way in the back room, no desk turned around so it is between you and the person like a barrier, and Robert, the manager, connected with my son in such a way it halfway sold him on the idea of trying Mathnasium.
So their vibe felt welcoming and energetic, the place is open both days on weekends which is a huge plus for us to have that option, and my son was willing to try it which is not easy for a teen.
I believe in being totally honest and forthright in my feedback so I will also say the price was higher than expected having been to other math centers. But, if it works it is well worth it as doing well in math can give a child options later in life. It seems to be working very well for us - we are 1 month in. We no longer stress about his downward trend in math grades - his math grades have turned around and been going up and up. It's still very early in the semester but so far he has an A+ and I expect it will be near that by the end of the semester thanks to Mathnasium.
We no longer stress about him missing math assignments and poor showing on quizzes. We know he has some gaps to fill in math from last year due to his math teacher suddenly disappearing in the middle of the year never to come back and sure enough Robert caught that gap too from the diagnostic test. I trust Robert to look at his progress and understanding and make sure he gets caught up. Robert is that diligent and conscientious.
Being a teen, he would still rather be home playing video games than coming to do Math here but even he sees how it is a huge benefit to him. He has grown to enjoy talking with the tutors there. I think a few more weeks and he will actually like going. Right now he's somewhere between resigned and mildly positive.
From a parent's perspective this place has a great location which makes it easier to incorporate in our day. Sprouts is there if we need a snack for him before or after the hour. Communication is great. They can teach high school algebra and geometry well so this place is not just for the younger kids. As long as Robert is the manager here, I would highly recommend the Laguna Niguel Center.

Great teachers! My son really enjoys coming to Mathnasium, and overall his grades and confidence have improved tremendously.
Center is very cooperative and Robert has been great to meet all the demands and needs of our son!
We've had a terrific experience with Mathnasium and I've recommended it a few times to other parents.
Our daughter (January of her 3rd grade year) was testing as below average in math 6 months ago and now, going to Mathnasium 2 or 3 times a week, she just tested as a 4th grader. More importantly, she was not liking math at all and now she enjoys it.

Our kids have tried other learning programs but got overwhelmed with all the homework . Our kids like Mathnasium because it teaches them the concepts so they can actually apply it on their own and explain it to others . We have had great feedback from our sons Accelerated math teacher !

My son was tutoring for the CHSPE exam -- his Mathnasium tutors were so helpful to him, and flexible with me about scheduling. They were able to cover a lot of material in a relatively short amount of time, and did a great job targeting what concepts my son needed to focus on most. He passed his exam, and we are so grateful for Mathnasium's help!
Tutors are able to teach my kid in a way he understands so that he isn’t frustrated. They are doing so much better than his teachers at school. We should have started mathnasium a year ago!

Mathnasium works great for our family for almost 2 years already. Our son loves coming here and working on math problems. We meet a lot of happy parents around. It is our number one choice.

My kids love mathnasium and the instructors. They have fun while covering a lot of their math topics. I have never had to push them to go to their session, I would just schedule it and they would be ready to go.
As a parent , the scheduling is super easy and the center director Robert is very pleasant to work with and he is very enthusiastic and prompt about updating us with the kids progress.
Sometimes when there are a lot of kids , it is a bit distracting but they have learned to work through it, which is great.
Summer sessions were good, fewer kids , more one on one tutoring time and game hours were a big hit.

Robert, the director of the Laguna niguel Mathnasium is great, attentive, knowledgeable, helpful, conscientious about individual students needs and progress. the tutors also are great!!
My 4th grader is about a month in with this Mathnasium, and we could not be more pleased. The program/curriculum is effective, the staff skilled and friendly, and the director accommodating and eager to see my son succeed. We’ve already seen improvement in his test scores and an increase in his confidence in math. Perfect fit for our family - highly recommend.
