The school systems participate in math curriculums that they are incapable of teaching. They do this to gain state funding. The last time I checked, I had another job/career that didn't involve teaching math to any children, including my own. This was taking up hours of my evening and I am NOT equipped to teach what even the teachers cannot teach. YET the school system would like me to do this for them. Unfortunately, you as the parent will have to pay, along with your child. I find the staff at Mathnasium Eagle Rock stems from good leadership and they are capable of teaching my child these concepts while also helping my child catch up on the learning gaps that the system has created. I, like, so many others did not have these challenges as a child because I was in a system that allowed me to learn in-step without packing in volumes and absurd amounts of work, pushing me to write down "why" in my answers. I was simply able to write out an equation and pass math with flying colors, making it to advanced math by high school. Much later, I was able to write elaborate answers on "the why" but this comes later, in my opinion, and based on the research I've done. Regretfully, our children are in absurdity and bizarreness when it comes to this particular subject. If you can afford it, I suggest Mathnasium to help you with the egregious conundrum we are all in, students and parents alike. My child expressed that Mathnasium is helping her and her iready tests have improved.
Our daughter is making great strides in math competency thanks to Mathnasium. The evaluations done make for a customized learning program that results in less gaps in her math knowledge…boosting her confidence in this subject and at school broadly, too. Best of all, she finds the sessions fun and enjoys it!
Our daughters loves the extra challenge and rewards of learning outside of school!

Eric and team are lovely. They've helped our kid stay ahead in math as he's transitioned from elementary to middle school, and now high school. They are always kind, accommodating in terms of schedule and have the knack of breaking down even the most complicated math into concepts that are much easier for our son to master. They've had our back for many years and we are so appreciative!

The place is staffed by caring people that make learning and doing math fun for the kids…which is huge. My daughter enjoys going in for her sessions. The scheduling process is a breeze.
My son has received a much better understanding in reasoning with numbers by attending Mathnasium. Students need a one on one approach with learning new subjects. Something that teachers can’t give with 30 other kids in a classroom.
Although my daughter still struggles with math. Her confidence and her general attitude and approach to it has changed dramatically. And we are very grateful to Mathnasium for that!
The staff are so patient and caring. They take their time explaining the work.
Everybody at the center has been great w/ our daughter. I can tell director and staff care about the kids and their math education. We'll be brining her back when she is older.
Mathnasium is helping both my children to build a foundation for math through a deep understanding by starting with what they already knew, addressing any learning gaps, expanding their mathematical thinking, and adding new concepts in sequence.
Mathnasium works for both my kids of different age and skill levels. My kids are empowered because they see what they can achieve because of their proficiency in math, and that I believe will alter the course of their entire lives.

I like that the tutoring is specific to the student’s needs. They provide flexible scheduling. Management easy to work with. It’s easy to communicate with office.I recommend the Eagle Rock office.

Eric and his team have been nothing but amazing! Always super friendly and fun. My son really appreciates their lightness and sense of humor. They have made life so easy for us, always working with our ever-changing summer schedule and helping to close a few gaps my son's understanding of math so he's absolutely prepared for the next school year.
We are very happy so far. The people working there are great. Eric has been so nice and is great about updating on progress. The kids seem to be learning new things and seem to like it so far. They especially enjoy the little prizes they can win with progress along the way.
