The math technique used at Mathnasium works well for our daughter. Even better is her amazing teacher Mike. His fun personality and great teaching skills make her enjoy learning.
From the very first session, we saw a more positive attitude in our son's demeanor towards math. By the end of the first month, he'd received his highest test score of the whole year in Algebra (and it was on his final). Now, we'll focus on getting him ready for Geometry, but I'm hopeful he won't have the same, debilitating struggles from previous years.

We love the concept overall and the amazing lead teacher and manager at this location.
We have a hard family with very high expectations and Mike has been very attentive working with all our kids. They are all very precocious and high learners which can be hard for some tutors but they all like working for him and they want his approval. That’s hard to find in a tutor, student relationship.
My daughter used to dislike math and now she loves it! She is doing great in school thanks to Mathnasium.

My daughter has always struggled immensely to understand the math methods taught at her school. Last year, when she took math online, she didn’t understand anything at all and it was very difficult to communicate and understand what she’s supposed to be learning. This year, math was very stressful and hated the class because she wasn’t understanding anything. The teacher didn’t review from last year and she was expected to have learned last year. She would take 3 hours to get the math homework assignments. Math became a torture and as the days passed, the further behind she became. She increased in frustration, her confidence was low and I saw her really stressed to the point of tears.
Ever since starting at Mathnasium, she’s been excited to learn math. I’ve never seen her this happy about math, it was her least favorite subject. Whenever I schedule an appointment, she gets excited and when tutoring is done, she’s joyful. Every day, she says she learned something new. Complex and confusing methods taught at school, are being relearned with easier practical techniques at Mathnesium. She’s advanced quickly and her confidence is getting better with every tutoring class.
Her tutor is amazing, patient, non judgmental and takes time to explain until she understands it. Mike is constantly communicating with me to make sure she’s making progress and to verify what she’s doing at school. He seems genuinely concerned about his students and their progress.
The program is thoughtfully designed to combine learning and supporting students with current homework assignments. When she’s done with her tutoring at Mathnesium, not only does she advance in areas she needs catching up but she finishes her homework assignments for the day. Her long hours to get her math homework done are in the past but more importantly, her confidence is increasing and the stress she felt every day going to math class at school, has drastically increased.
