We can not rave enough about Gary! He does private tutoring with my son and helped him progress greatly; worth every penny! My son passed the SOLs and Gary gave him a nice card, gift card, and candy! My kids seem to have improved with their math skills. However, since my husband and I work full time, and the kids have other activities, the hours of operation are not very convenient for us.
It really helped my daughter. The flexibility was important to us. The tutoring she got was exceptional. Would highly recommend to anyone who’s kid needs that little bit of extra help.

Well my daughter's story is a little different. My daughter is 25 year old. College right out of High School was not her thing. She decided to take a break from school and tried doing things on her own. Well entry level job, after entry level job ended up frustrating her and she decided to go back to get a degree.
She went to NOVA Community College and did very well in all of her classes. So much so that she has been officially accepted into the University of Sciences Dr. of Occupational Therapy program. That was the best news that she has gotten for quite sometime. She felt like she was on top of the world, until she realized that in order for her to stay of track for her program she would have to test into a Pre-calculus course to start the academic year. This revelation took the wind out of her sails. In order for her to test into pre-calc,. she had to get through an Algebra proficiency test and the test was less than three weeks away.
My daughter and I put our heads together and we contacted Mathnasium and explained the situation and the dire sense of urgency. The professionals got right on it. They devised a custom plan for my daughter and the instructors were very flexible in working around her work and academic schedule.
The bottom line is that my daughter sat for the proctored exam and she needs to pass three units to test out of Algebra so that she can then sit for the pre-calc proficiency test. Well she not only passed three units, she actually passed five units!!
This was the best investment I ever made. It basically saved my daughter approx $40k since she has been accepted as a full 2nd year college student, enabling her to get her PhD in five years. Shge could not have done it without Mathnasium. As a matter of fact we are continueing with using their services to make sure she can ace Pre-Calculus this fall.

The staff are amazing, just wish their were more billing options rather than just monthly or 6 mos. Other than that it's a terrific place w/great staff.

Mathnasium is an AMAZING resource, my son Gabe LOVES going to the Ashburn Farm, VA Facility. Gabe says he learns a lot and really likes the instructors. Gabe says the instructors are engaged and make learning FUN!

At Mathnasium, I like that the student to tutor ratio is 1:1 or maximum 2:1. That way, the student is able to get the tutor’s full attention for the time the student spends there.
We love the flexibility to come when help is needed as opposed to a regularly scheduled appointment. It has been extremely helpful to my son.

Gary has been great with my son! He is so enthusiastic about Math and motivates my son to work hard during their sessions to improve his math sense.
My daughter went to Mathnasium for 3.5 years (mid 7th grade to the end of tenth grade) and she found it very helpful. Once She got past Math Analysis, she said she found the sessions less helpful and did not want to go anymore (her choice). As a parent, when she was going regularly, and we were seeing value, the cost was worth it, but as she opted out of going,and we had already pre-paid for lessons, we saw the prepay method as a disadvantage, that's why the rating is an 8/9 vs a 10 in our opinion.
My 10-year-old son had one-on-one sessions with the owner and his confidence increased immediately. His concepts became clearer and stronger. The owner is very encouraging and really helped my son with his concepts, his speed, and confidence.
