Michael, the owner, really takes an interest in helping each student improve and succeed. He always takes time to meet with us the parents to discuss any concerns we have and both our kids have had very positive experience with every single instructor for the past year since they enrolled in the program.
The staff at Mathnasium has always been welcoming and supportive to our son's unique math needs. We are thankful that they operate in our neighborhood. Mathnasium will be part of our son's learning program as long as he needs them.

When my son (now age 10) began his learning journey in Mathnasium in February 2017 he was a VERY reluctant student of all things math. His work with Michael Adler's great team and inspirational mentoring by Michael have offered young Alexander the chance to appreciate the importance and harmony of mathematics, to venture confidently in this area of studies and blossom. His math sessions in Mathnasium remain the most enjoyable and fulfilling part of his week.

Both of our daughters have been coming to Mathnasium in Belmont for a few years now. The girls have been able to advance quickly on material they understand and take more time in areas that require more practice. This has really empowered the girls and they are much more confident in their abilities. Between sports, activities with friends, and school both are quite busy and yet they have never complained about attending Mathnasium. As a parent, I could not be happier about the service.

We are grateful to have found Mathnasium for our child. Before we enrolled her, our daughter was doing okay with math in school. She wasn't struggling but she wasn't strong with math either which was fine. We look at math as something that needs practice. We would sit down with her at home with homework and we were able to identify that she understood the concepts but there would be lots of tears within that time period which would prevent her from doing her work within a reasonable amount of time . We asked for a lot of guidance from her teachers in school and followed their advice on how to help her at home to avoid the tears. From the way we ask questions to help her understand how to solve the problems and even adjusting how we respond to her tears, as we would also get emotional with her frustrated tears - with no success on both of our parts. So we decided that we needed outside help. We had to accept that there were some things we couldn't provide even if my husband does math for a living. We believe that the immediate task for us was to help her have a different attitude towards math if we wanted her to accept math as part of her life. Mathnasium was able to give her that. She does not bring her homework to Mathnasium, but her response to difficulties with her homework has really changed over time. Of course, there are occasional emotional responses on nights when she is exhausted as any normal human being would have. However, overall her attitude towards math has changed. Just the other day in the car, she wanted to know how many miles per gallon we get, so she talked through the problem out loud. And that is the real success, she now sees that she can use math to help understand the world around her, and it does not have to be a stressful exercise.
We have made our way through the first few months, and the kids (8 and 10) are looking forward to the next levels. They are excited to continue having more and more difficult problems. It is also fantastic that they work with different tutors while there- so they have opportunities to learn from different people, with different approaches. I highly recommend Mathnasium!
My son LOVES Mathnasium and we have recommended several friends who also all love it - it is a great system for teaching kids math, but also teaching them how to focus, how to carefully check their work and how to be better students in general.

Michael and his enthusiastic staff have done a great job in improving my child's math foundation. In the beginning there was an assessment done and this gave a them a starting point to work with. In the past 4 months my child has gained confidence. This has carried forward into her classes and I have seen a dramatic improvement. There is still a long way to go but my child enjoys going to Mathnasium and I see the work ethic improving. Thanks.

If your kid needs tutoring help in math, this is a great place to get it! Michael Adler is the Mathnasium team's owner, recruiter, math skills evaluator, coach, and quarterback -- and manages to go above and beyond in all of these roles. His tutors all seem highly qualified, motivated, and appropriately patient. Kids getting tutored seem always to be focused and enjoying their experience. The tutoring space is open, ample, and pleasant. Dropoff, pickup, and parking are always easy.

What I like best about Mathnasium is that students can bring in work that they are doing in school to get support. This may include homework or prepping for tests.
Mathnasium in Belmont is so organized and well run, there is such a friendly atmosphere, and my kids love going- I highly recommend!! There is honest, caring engagement with the students, and a very "fun" vibe around math- a subject that previously daunted my two kids. Now they can't wait!! The staff and management are all kind, and accessible. Highly recommend!!! Thank you Mathnasium!
