My daughter began Mathnasium less than a year ago. Her confidence in math was less than desireable. My baby is now doing so well in math! In fact, she gets A's and B's so far. Her confidence in match has increased. What I like most about Mathnasium is the collaboration and direct contact that they have with my daughter's math teacher. This allows everyone to be on the same page and allows Mathnasium to generate custom material specific to my daughter's increasingly challenging curriculum at school.
My 4th grader was fearful of math before she started at Mathnasium. She has gained tools that has developed her confidence and helped her thrive in school. The communication between mathanisum, the teachers and the parents have been extraordinary. We are so grateful to have found such a wonderful program that really does make math enjoyable to even those who dislike it the most.

Two of our three daughters have a professional, personal experience at Mathnasium - one at Short Pump and one at Tuckahoe. We've had in-person experience at SP and Tuckahoe and Virtual for one full Calendar Year.
We prefer in person but virtual has allowed our daughter seamless mathmatics study. Luci Dulog takes regular math practice for an hour to 90 minutes 4 -5days a week.
As she has moved into Advanced maths, she finds fewer instructors able to assist her but we are grateful for the discipline of "Doing Maths," everyday.
Luci has an extremely busy schedule as Richmond Ballets Ballerina with a rehearsal schedule if 20 - 30 hrs per week and a public school schedule of 8 am to 3 pm and pian practices.
She would NRVER gave been able to accomplish what she has without Billy Roherrt ability to assist working around her schedule and the very Individual attention.
Billy is an amazing manager and a person of integrity, honesty and just enough awkwardness to keep everyone on our own toes? So approachable at all levels.

You all have a fantastic program! My son isn’t a big fan of school, but he always comes home happy after he has finished his hour at Mathnasium.
My son is getting the necessary help he needs in Algebra 1. The instructors are kind and very knowledgeable.

We Love Billy! We Love the Way he Has Given Luci so many outside of the box Math Goals! We love the Way he Shows Luci the possibility of MATH Careers. Luci wants to be a Prima Ballerina someday. And, when that Goal is met and she wants to move onto Life Beyond the Stage and the Footlights and Applause, it is thanks to Billy Rohert, that our daughter will have the confidence to continue her math career as a healthy STEM or STE[ARTS]M scientist or mathematician or a successful business owner (she loves to cook & bake, too!) or entrepreneur or just a successful adult using her consumer and business math, filing her taxes and not being EXPLOITED, manipulated or coerced by others in a financial manner. Once students hit the Teen years, they turn off the "VOice of Reason," from the 'Rents and listen more to their peers. Billy Rohert provides the sanity of sound, reason, logic, integrity and loyalty and the performance of a "Peer" and provides a safe, healthy place to practice being a teenager.
I hope that Billy is being compensated in ways that measure this. We highly recommend him and Tuckahoe. It has been difficult under COVID-19 precautions, policies and procedures, but we are hoping that our daughter can successfully make the transition from homeschooling to a public school academic offering and sail into pre-Calculus with practical, real-life metrics based challenging performance in Algebra I, II and Geometry and "KNOWS," MATH with such confidence and success that Luci will persue higher maths in her remaining three years at DRHS as an entering Sophomore and indeed, take on the challenges and obstacles of higher maths in a Challenging University or College.
We are also hoping that Luci will perform to a high[er] standard on her October PSATs and her future SAT/ACT work to demonstrate to these higher learning bastions that she is capable of college level work, thought and demonstrated discipline (like the 10,000 hours of rigorous ballet training for more than 13 years....).
This will all be in large part because of her parents, Luci, herself, and of course, Billy Rohert and the Staff and Administrators at Tuckahoe Mathnasium.
Please continue to partner with the Dulog Family to make Luci's Life a Success Mathematically and Mathnasium's franchise here in the RVA a DEMONSTRATED, DOCUMENTED SUCCESS STORY!

WE have been with the Tuckahoe Mathnasium since the 2nd summer it was open. From Nikki to Billy and the staff we have found it to be a positive environment with happy attitudes and a safe place to leave our young (and now slightly older) girls. Our only concern is the overall cost and lately the payment options... It seems that over the years the company has been moving towards a structure that is mainly for full year tutoring. I would suggest thinking strategically about this. We have recommended the summer program countless times to neighbors and locals. Sometimes thats all you can afford. The full program monthly cost is equal if not more than a car payment. In the context of family life, and not being wealthy by any means, this is a large cost right next to budgeting for monthly groceries or the mortgage. We are making it work and stretching to be able to offer our youngest this program. However it would've been much easier for us if there was a school year length program and a seperate summer program. The 6 and 12 month option don't easily work out to cover Sept-June. In the perfect world we could do the 12 months for years but in family life having the option to take the summer for financial relief would be helpful. I understand all of the reasons to have a child do summer bridge AND the school year... Reality isn't always on the same track. As a parent it feels horrible to have to make choices between your child's forward movement and growth, emotional security because they aren't struggling and starting to grow self negative talk over not being a strong math kid and you're finances. A few more options than 6 mo, 12 mo and monthly would be relieving... And please keep the summer program going, don't lose that in the future! As I mentioned we have had wonderful interactions with the staff who are consistently kind, helpful and earnest about the care for our girls. I'm very thankful for that!
My son loves Mathnasium—he wants to go even when he has a day off from school. He really enjoys working with his tutors, and has discovered a love of mathematics this way—much to my surprise.
Mathnasium has transformed my child from dreading math work to loving math and looking forward to attending his sessions at Mathnasium.
