The staff is super friendly so far, as I just enrolled my son in January. He doesn't loathe going, and for a teenager that is a great thing. The instructors break down the math concepts in easy to understand language, and my son is progressing.
When my son started at Mathnasium, math stressed him out a lot. He just wasn't grasping a lot of the concepts and didn't enjoy it at all. Since coming to Mathnasium we have seen a ton of progress in his skills, not to mention his confidence has grown a ton and he now likes math! He is always happy to go, and he really enjoys his instructors. They are very patient and give him the confidence he needs to keep trying even when he's having a hard time with a concept.

Christa has been very professional and communicative. I get a far better sense of how my child is doing than I ever have. Additionally, you can tell she cares for all the kids as Christa waits at the door to ensure the children are safe when meeting their parents. Nice touch!

Catherine started attending Mathnasium when she was in 6th grade, and she is now in 8th grade. Her knowledge, and especially her confidence, has grown considerably. She enjoys going to Mathnasium and working with all the tutors, who are always helpful. She understands that the hour she spends there is valuable and makes the most of it to progress toward her goals and complete homework when needed.
Our journey with Mathnasium has had its ups and downs, particularly with changes in the center’s direction, and that truly matters. However, since Casey has been managing the center, the experience has been wonderful. He addresses concerns, recognizes each student’s situation, and works closely with families to help students meet their goals.
It’s helped my daughter tremendously. She has improved her math skills over the last 2 years 4 grade levels. There reward system has helped motivate her as well.
The kids are eager to go work on their math - the most important thing and Andrew is so far pretty good at keeping me up to date. The kids say the tutors are nice. I love the check in/check out process. The facility and bathrooms are also always clean which I appreciate.
Mathnasium has been a life changing experience for my 8th grade daughter. Three months ago, at the the end of 7th grade, her math comprehension tested at the mid-4th grade level. She was a 3rd grader during the pandemic and had trouble learning math from home. As time went on, she lost confidence and stopped asking questions in class. She would often say she was “bad at math.” After only 3 months at Mathnasium, she earned an 87 in Algebra for first quarter. She loves going to tutoring and finds it very relaxing to spend an hour solving problems. She even says that math is fun and she has discovered that she’s pretty good at it. We are going to stick with it until she feels ready to leave and then drop in if she needs extra support over the next few years.
My child truly enjoys attending Mathnasium, and we've noticed significant progress in areas where math was once a challenge.
My middle schooler lacked confidence in her math skills and would perform poorly on class exams as well as standardized test. Having a place to review and reinforce concepts, as well as a calm space in which to do/complete her homework with possible assistance from the Mathnasium tutors, increased her confidence and improved her performance during stressful test-taking. The tutors at River Center are consistently knowledgeable and encouraging. The Center director is outstanding, with great communications skills and insights. The hours this Mathnasium is open are thoughtfully planned, so that kids can get there after school and even after extracurricular activities on weeknights, which is much appreciated by our family.
