My daughter struggled when it came to math. I am not sure if she actually struggled with the math itself, as her teacher and I could see that the knowledge was there, or if she just froze when taking tests and assessments making it seem as though the knowledge was not there as she would either not do well or not finish tests/assessments. Regardless of which was true the fact was that she lacked confidence in math, and this made it so that she did not like the subject. We purchased a one-month trial for Mathnasium that was donated to our school auction and gave it a try. She loved it and we signed her up. She started at the end of June, and she gained her confidence very quickly. That next school year she was placed in the advanced math class and suddenly math became her favorite subject. We moved and were only able to attend for 8 months, but in that short time she loved it. At her new school she found herself having to talk to her teacher to request more of a challenge as the work she was being given was "too easy". In her online work she is doing math that is one grade ahead. If it was not for Mathnasium and their wonderful team, I don't think this would have been the case.
As far as administratively I mostly worked with Alex and sometimes Kyle. They both were very helpful and always answered all of my questions. Alex met with me several times throughout her time there to discuss and review her progress and to discuss the next steps. There were several times while we attended that we had to change our scheduled time sometimes at the very last minute and they were always accommodating and helpful. I have told all of my friends and family and would highly recommend Mathnasium and specifically the Los Gatos location if your child is struggling or just lacks the confidence in the foundations of math. As we all know those early years truly determine how they will do with math in the future because if they don't understand the fundamentals of math they will only continue to struggle as the math gets harder. The wonderful thing about Mathnasium is that they will assess your child and place them where they are based on their knowledge and not based on their age or grade level. My daughter and I both really liked that when she would finish a learning plan she would go back and take the same assessment as well as correct/go over her assessment that she took previously so she was able to see the problems that she missed previously as well see her progress. Thank you, Alex and all the instructors, at Mathnasium for helping rebuild my daughters love and confidence for math.

The team in Campbell responds to every request promptly. I have three kids in the program and I am not an easy customer but they are always fast and friendly with all request. My kids scores have jumped up significantly in the program and they enjoy attending. They make learning fun ! Dan Mennel
We have had a great experience! The admin team/managers have always accommodated us. Fernan, Kyle, and Alex always answer our questions and are very kind about it. Our kids enjoy going to Mathnasium, and the tutors have been great too! My kids love working with them especially with Noah.

Great support in math for my two children. They are able to follow along the student curriculum to assist the student as they progress through the year as well as help with concepts that they have struggles with in the subject.
Mathnasium has been so good for my daughter. When she started she lacked confidence in math. She would often struggle, shut down and cry when she did not understand a concept. It would become very frustrating for everyone involved as many times we knew she was capable of completing the math problem and did not lack the knowledge, but often misread or misunderstood the question and could not register the help she was being given. There were many tearful “ohhhh” ‘s after realizing what she misread/misunderstood. Test and assessment taking caused a lot of stress and questioning of herself. Both her teacher and I would see how many problems would be missed that were not complicated and she possessed and many times even previously showed understanding. She was often placed in lower math groups due to poor test taking and the previously mentioned issues. With the help of Mathnasium she has been able to rebuild her confidence in her math skills. After only about a month she had an assessment for the start of school and she immediately came home to say that she felt so good about her test. She was no longer second guessing her answers and she was no longer the last one to finish her test. She was placed in a higher math level and was excited to sign up for math competitions at her school (I previously signed her up although she did not want to just to get her used to the test taking because her school does not do much of that and I know it was inevitable in the future), and even joined a math club. I would highly recommend Mathnasium if you have a child struggling in math and I am sure my daughter would as well. Specifically the Los Gatos location the staff has been very helpful with the process. Anytime I have had questions they always respond in a timely manner. They are flexible with scheduling and with meeting me to discuss the progress and next steps for my daughter. Anyone I have spoken to has been great, but have typically worked with Alex from the beginning. To start the assessment, discuss progress, and for any other issues that have come up for us.

We are long time Mathnasium members and have two kids that have been active participants and successfully improving for a few years now. The owners of Mathnasium are very passionate about helping their students and encouraging them to reach their full potential.
My oldest son loves Mathnasium and is really focused. He has excelled in math since starting with them. He likes the teachers and feels comfortable checking in on his own without any issues. As parents we love seeing the emails that show us how he's doing. Also, the process of drop off, receiving status updates, and changing appointment dates are very smooth.
My youngest struggles a bit and finds Mathnasium to be an extension of school. He finds motivation in the fact that he can work on his math homework in the first half of his sessions and gets help when needed. Even when I have to encourage him to go to class, he always comes out smiling and proud of the work he finished that day.
Mathnasium been a great partnership and we are glad to have found it.
My daughter is feeling more comfortable with math. The staff is accommodating. Sometimes I see that some of the children are disruptive, and that makes it difficult for the other kids to learn though.

Mathnasium of Campbell-Los Gatos is under excellent leadership. The staff is very prompt and accommodative of various needs of students and their parents. I would wholeheartedly recommend this team to anyone who wants to help their kids get a leg up on their math skills.
Our 3rd grader is definitely more confident in math. She likes going to Mathnasium because she feels she is learning but she is not overwhelmed with repetitive homework. It's the right balance for her.
This is a place where a very social child can learn math and get support in either advancing beyond the usual school curriculum or support mastering the typical curriculum. If a child is more introverted, they also get to work on their assignments in peace. All the tutors are knowledgeable and positive. The kids sit either one student or two students per table with a single tutor. The policy allows for parents to request adjustments to curriculums and for students to ask to focus on specific areas. Their scheduling is flexible enough through the whole academic year and super flexible through the summer. The facilities are very nice and welcoming. The prize system for the number of pages solved is another tool motivating the children to progress. The prizes are cool toys or games. Our student got great support at mastering the typical school math program, moved up the math level and is getting support doing well with a very challenging school math level.
My daughter who did not like math at all before joining Mathnasium becomes interested in math after starting the program for couple months. She can believe that even she is not a math kid but she still can do math and math is not that hard all the time. I highly recommend students who would try to change their attitude about math and hopefully start to love math again.
