I would like to take this opportunity to thank the team and Dave at Mathnasium at the Chandler location.
My eldest, grade 9, has been struggling with math for awhile. I started him on the program in February with little understanding of the basic concepts of math--not everyone gets it, and that's ok, but it was really affecting his self esteem and the "i give up attitude"
When he started with Mathansium, it was a struggle to get him adjusted, but putting a monthly schedule on the calendar and a routine, he got used to the idea that this was a 3x times a day appointment. I suggest setting up the schedule for your child so there is consistency and a routine in place.
By the end of the month 4, his understanding of math has improved drastically. His grades in class improved, his confidence and self esteem improved and his understanding of math, whether the basics or what he is currently taking in class has improved. 95% of the effort has to come from the child; Mathnasium is there for support, assistance, encouragement and of course, understanding of the concepts. Your child needs to know that this is a self effort improvement.
Start with an assessment to see where your child is, and I had requested that a monthly assessment be done so we can all monitor his progress.
Dave was absolutely incredible. Working with him has been an absolute pleasure. His support, his patience and his understanding of circumstances, go above and beyond my expectations. I look forward to working him in the future as I do plan on registering my son again once school is back in session.
My son and daughter love going to Mathnasium! Before signing up they didn’t like math at all. After a few sessions, they were looking forward to going to Mathasium several days a week.
Both my son and daughter got A’s in Math every semester after joining Mathnasium. They see Math differently now and it is not too difficult for them.
The tutors at Mathnasium are very helpful and they are consistent with their job. They make learning Math fun and often give my son and daughter get fun “rewards” because of their hard work and good progress!
The staff is friendly and the other kids there are diligently working and provide a good learning environment for my children.
The Mathnasium plan that was set up for my granddaughter is helping her understand math concepts - so that she can "face" and proceed to conquer the math courses she took this school year. She still has a little trouble with fractions - I THINK - otherwise she is doing fine.
So far so good! My son enjoys going to learn. I think incentives are helpful too. Hopefully he continues to like learning throughout the summer as well.
Mathnasium helped our child with Foundational math skills plus provided help with homework. A dedicated 60 minutes for just math with extra help was worth it. It was also easy to sign up for and schedule classes online, and we received frequent updates on our child’s progress. A good experience that I would recommend!

Our daughter was super behind in math from COVID and online school. Mathnasium caught her up so she would be ready for high school and made sure to keep on top of her homework as well. Highly recommend!!

We absolutely loved Mathnasuim! The owner, Dave was great. He knows how to talk to kids and help them figure out the best way they learn. All of the staff was incredible. Our son was really struggling and he was able to go from C’s and D’s in math to A’s! His confidence has sky rocketed and math is no longer his least favorite subject. We would highly recommend Mathnasuim to anyone who needs help in math. It really is a game changer.
