Great program for students. My kids don’t “hate” going to Mathnasium because once they are done, they are really done, at least until the next day. No homework. The hours are very flexible and the teachers and supervisors are friendly and accommodating.
Mathnasium has really helped my daughter understand that math is easy and this will stay with her for the rest of her life!
My 5-year old son likes this after school class and teachers a lot! I am surprised to see he is able to focus for quite long, working on the sheets provided to him! Back to home when I asked how he like the math questions, he always show interest! Very impressive! He never complain too easy or too hard work. Staffs do excellent job following up and giving assessment often! This is a right place to send my child!
We have been attending mathnasium for more than a year and it’s been a great resource for our three girls, grades 2, 4 and 7. Our daughters are unafraid to tackle new math concepts and approach challenges with confidence. The points and rewards system helps motivate them, and so does the candy! I found it especially helpful during summer months, when skills tend to atrophy. And as a busy family juggling many activities, we appreciate the flexibility to drop in when it’s convenient. It is providing an amazing foundation, especially for our younger kids. The *one thing* I wish the center would do more is have greater knowledge of local school curriculum, in particular for our middle schooler. There is a 30-minute time limit on homework help, and sometimes she needs more than that. We are keeping an eye on her grades, and will continue to evaluate whether the mathnasium model can meet her needs, or if a private one-on-one tutor would be more effective. Every kid is different!
Great place and teaching method. Willing to accommodate my kids b/c they have a harder time concentrating in a group environment.
