I'm still not convinced on how successful the program is. Time will tell.
I thought Mathnasium would be helpful but not this helpful. When we enrolled I had one child struggling with math. Below average MAP tests. Sad about math. Telling me repeatedly “I’m just not smart enough.” Fast forward 1.5 years. Math is this kid’s favorite subject. This kid now has confidence. MAP scores are now in the gifted range. In the interest of full disclosure we switched from public to private school. That obviously helped too. But this Mathnasium is something special. It is life-changing.
I had another kid who was already ahead in math. Fast forward 1.5 years. That kid is now several grade levels ahead in math and has a constant excitement about math.
The center is run very well and my kids’ math skills and appreciation for math have greatly improved. I have also connected the center director with their teachers to bridge the gap between what is covered during their sessions and in the classroom, and that has been very effective.

Wonderful! My child is gaining more confidence in Math and Illan is very accommodating with schedule changes.
The no availability for Friday and Saturdays makes it difficult to schedule especially with weekend sporting and other activities.
Otherwise we love Mathnasium and so does our child.
This is a great tool to help supplement a students learning. It can move at any pace as long as the student is willing.

Our kids have shown a lot of growth in their math skill development. This has helped them progress in their current math lessons at school in a more effective and less stressful way. The learning environment at Mathnasium is very welcoming and productive.
We have had a great experience. I have been VERY impressed with how responsive and available IIlan has been. He has been a pleasure to work with from the beginning. He followed up to provide an update on how my daughter was doing without me asking and conveyed his availability if I have any questions or concerns. I am very pleased and my daughter is really enjoying it too. I can see that she is more confident in her math skills which is exactly what we had hoped for.

Mathnasium has given our daughter confidence to develop her math skills!
Good place for kids to learn math, keep up with their "school math" and excel beyond. Schools tend not to stay on a particular math subject (i.e. multiplication, division, fractions or decimals) long enough for many children to grasp the concepts. This can be disastrous for a child who can't keep up with the kids who grasp it easily. They'll end up hating math, and this shouldn't be.
If your child doesn't have a basic understanding of simple math concepts, many career doors are shut to your child. Engineering, Business, Medical, Architecture. Mathnasium helps solve this dilemma.
Our child was struggling in school. It was moving too fast for her. She was falling behind and getting lost in the shuffle. We identified it swiftly. She spent time after school and weekends at Mathnasium. Lo and behold, she started catching up on concepts. She caught up with her class. She became more confident. There was a marked change in her character and attitude.
We connected Mathnasium with our daughter's math teacher at school. (This is essential - every year!) NOW, she is starting to exceed her class level and her confidence is through the roof.
Don't let your child get shorted by a math system that is not designed to herd the ones in the back, forward. Get additional help! Mathnasium is a wonderful start. It changed our daughter's and subsequently our lives.

My son's Math confidence was very low before he joined Mathnasium. He avoided working on Math and hated the subject. Now, he actively seeks Math in his daily life, his standardized test scores have improved, and most important, his confidence is back! We could not be happier with the change.
My 10 year old daughter loved going to Mathnasium. She liked how everyone was kind and patient. She enjoyed learning and was motivated to attend. I especially appreciate the open and consistent communication about my daughter’s progress. The Skokie location is highly recommended.

Megan really enjoys working with Paul and a few of the other tutors. She has gained confidence in her math skills, and though she may still have challenges she knows she can figure it out.
Overall, we have been very happy with our experience. One thing that would improve is allowing for one more hour on Sundays. Because the center closes at 1pm and we have church services on Sunday morning, we aren't able to schedule our child on those days at all. Staying open until 2pm would allow us to attend both.
Flexible schedule. Great leadership. Pleasant space.
