The administration seems to be accommodating and responsive. It is easy enough to change schedules if needed. My son said that the instructors are all welcoming and easy to approach. We are still early in the process to see results but we are hopeful.
During her time at Mathnasium our daughter has gone from struggling with math to calling it her favorite subject.

My daughter disliked math and in the beginning had no interest in any kind of tutoring. Now she eagerly goes to Mathnasium and seems to have a nice boost in her confidence and approach to math.

I can see how my daughter is not only better and more confident at math but more interested in incorporating into her every day life in fun ways. I love the flexibility that Mathnasium offers. My daughter has a lot of activities and scheduling changes and Mathnasium is accommodating even at the last minute with rescheduling or making up hours. Also the assessments are done regularly and are thorough and if you have questions about your child’s progress they will schedule a sit down meeting right away and take you through their progress with documented work completed. They are organized, professional and methodical in their approach. The rewards they have for kids at key benchmarks help children stay engaged and goal oriented.

Both of my daughters have studied at the UES Mathnasium. I can't say enough about how much they love their sessions there. They both so look forward to going (which is definitely not the case with some of their other extra-curricular activities -- even the one's that they themselves choose to do). Mathnasium seems to have some magic formula for making kids enjoy the work that they do. From what I can discern, it includes motivated and engaged teachers, curricula and worksheets that are tailored to each specific student, and are adjusted constantly depending on the student's work, an innovative work arrangement with three students to a teacher (just the right amount to keep students interested in their own work, but small enough that each teacher has time for each student) and fun incentives. I wholeheartedly and enthusiastically recommend Mathnasium.

Any time you get a 9-year-old to sit down on the weekend for 2 hours during math without complaining - is a success! I am not sure about the actual rate of the progress my daughter is making in math , but I have noticed her becoming more confident in math. She had a shining moment in class the other day explaining fractions to the District Superintendent, who visited her class and happened to sit at her table. The principle of the school praised Julia for making her and the whole school look good. The superintendent apparently said to my daughter “We know who the next superintendent is going to be! “ Good work Mathnesium for boosting my daughter’s confidence in math!
