After 7 lessons with no prior music knowledge, I basically know the bass parts of two Rock songs! I get to play those songs in a band, every week, and then an actual show in a couple months. SoR is awesome and gives you a practical playing experience. Highly recommend SoR!
We love School of Rock!! The staff & teachers at the Keller/Southlake location are excellent and just plain cool 😎 My kids love it!

I really enjoy everything. The instructors are all great, and very knowledgeable. They have a knack for finding songs that are fun to play, but push you to practice and get better. It's well run, and I enjoy meeting other people who share the same enthusiasm for music as I do. The one on one lessons are great as well. Couldn't recommend it highly enough!

I don’t feel like the increased cost is reflective of value. I totally understand the need for less shows and feel like for the sanity of your staff that was a great move. However cost has increased with less value provided.
As a business owner I am constantly assessing the perceived value Vs cost to our customers and I think this would be beneficial to assess at school of rock- the numbers in band have also increased greatly giving less practice time for songs and this lowers the value as well.
The instructors are the only reason we keep coming back. Particularly Melissa, Tim and James. They’re incredible and are the reason my family remains committed to SOR Southlake when there are closer locations to my house. I hope the instructors are recognized for what they do and how hard they work. It’s clearly a labor of love for them and I believe they solely are the reason for the success of this location.
As part of the Adult Band, I’ve learned a ton. I love how the 1-on-1 lessons perfectly complement the band rehearsals each season. It’s also a blast diving into all the different genres. Before I started, I never could have imagined playing live with a band, yet the program has really boosted my confidence. The staff is patient and friendly, and I look forward to my times at SoR.

Too many people per class equals too many songs in 2 hours. Not enough time to work on each song. We just play through the songs once or twice and move in.

School of Rock Southlake/Keller has been a home away from home for our children for nearly a decade now. It's the people-the instructors and staff are amazing! Because of SOR our children have developed lifelong skills and a love of music that will stay with them forever, and for that I am so grateful. Just the best people ever!
Emily and Kamyn at the front desk at School of Rock are awesome!! I had a million questions to ask and they were always very polite and gave me all the information I needed.
I have always wanted to be part of a band and never had the courage to do it. Both Emily and Kamryn were extremely encouraging and let me come observe the band several times and stay as long as I wanted.
The music school has a lot of parking available and is always humming with excitement!!
Doxey, the band director is fabulous!! Not only is he a fantastic guitarist and vocalist, he is an awesome band director. He always has constructive feedback to give the band members and clarifies any questions we have.
It is so much fun playing with the band and I really look forward to rehearsal every week. It is the most fun day of the week for me!!

Camila started playing drums and since day one she went into "action" just after 2 weeks she started, she played in public in a show! amazing! !!!! Really one of the best experiences she had!! I highly recommend School of Rock .. because it is not just learning in a class, it is actually performing in a group, making the kids self-confident and feeling that they need to practice and learn more because always there is a public event coming up!!!!

I love the adult band program! I've been involved in the adult program for over eight years now. Great place to socialize, have fun, learn a skill, and play music with other like-minded people!
Bri, program manager, is exceptionally kind and accommodating. My kids LOVE going to southlake school of rock. They are so much more confident from their stage performances that are as real to being a true rock star as you can get! It is certainly a monetary sacrifice but worth every penny. Thank you school of rock, for sharing your love for music, you guys are all amazing!

We really enjoyed the program and plan to return next summer. My son loved being exposed to so many more instruments and connecting with other kids w/similar interests.
Everything. Private lessons have been great- as an intermediate adult taking lessons from Layne, I've really enjoyed how he lets me decide the direction of our lessons.
Group lessons are amazing! Highlight of my week. Tim, Melissa, and Matt make it fun, and really get us sounding good. I like the approach, the set lists- pretty much everything. No complaints- couldn't recommend more highly.
