The obvious advantage of School of Rock Bedford for my teenager is learning to play an instrument, play in a band, and be surrounded by rock ‘n’ roll. SoR also creates an opportunity to engage with like-minded kids from surrounding towns which allows the kids to be learn who and how they are outside of their limited school environment. It’s a positive, self rewarding and immense growth experience, especially as you see the musical skills improve and friendships develop season after season. SoR Bedford has an amazing Music Director who is great with these kids and picks music that the kids like to play and the parents love to hear; a General Manager who supports his programs with creativity and style; and teachers and staff who know what they’re doing and do it well. A very welcoming and inclusive group that we are happy to spend time with!!

At the SoR Bedford, the teachers are so nurturing and supportive in creating such a positive and healthy environment to grow as a person and musician. The studio manager and general manager are very proactive and available to address any concerns parent a may have with scheduling lessons and seasonal shows. Overall a gem in Northern Westchester!!!

Excellent and dedicated teaching, fun environment and supportive and caring staff. Kids are taken very seriously and are motivated. Seeing them perform on stage is the icing on top. One of the best programs we have ever done, hands down.
We absolutely love the school of rock! My son is 10 years old and is a pretty advanced musician for his age. The school of rock really challenges him while breaking down anything new in ways he can absolutely understand. He is currently in the Yes show and the whole family can’t wait for the performance! Another thing we love is how welcoming and friendly everybody is. Being a 10-year-old in Fairfield Connecticut who is into music but not sports is a little bit of a challenge. Jackson feels most at home at the school of rock.
My Bass lessons with Alex Swift plus Adult shows with Mike C., Jason S., and Tim S. are awesome. The SOR is my safe and happy place.

Not only are the lessons great at teaching skill, but the performance bands are awesome on so many levels … from learning new music and different genres , to performing on stage in front of audiences, to working with band mates who inevitably become friends. We are very grateful to school of rock Bedford, they have helped our son’s ability in music as well as nurture his love and appreciation for it.
Everything! The instructors, the shows, but especially how the program encourages my daughter to grow as a person. She is has become confident and secure through her School Of Rock experience. She finally feels like she belongs and she is very happy!

David Steele has acclimated well to his position and is proactive and always available to the students and parents. Ben Malmed sets a tone of professionalism and congeniality. The remaining staff have also been accommodating and flexible in their time and expertise. Overall still a wonderful place for students to develop at their own pace free from judgement.
The instructors, the management are all friendly and supportive. My sons always want to go. Their learning is progressing and they feel so comfortable there. My son loved the camp and we will do it again this year.
