My son has been a student at SoR for six years. During that time, he has learned to play drums, guitar and sing lead vocals in a wide variety of music genres including: classic rock, metal, blues, progressive rock, pop and R&B just to name a few. He has played with musicians of all ages and skill levels in the performance program as well as being a member of the audition-selected Kirkwood House Band. All of his lesson instructors, show directors and music directors have been professional top notch teachers. Not only do they provide specific critical feedback on his playing, but they also challenge him to try on new band roles and encourage his growth as a musician and as a person. My son has developed discipline, teamwork and a growth mindset all while having fun rehearsing and performing live at various events and venues with other local SoR students as well as House Bands from around the country. I highly recommend School of Rock! It has become a highlight of my son’s teenage years. He will be a musician for life.
My son has learned so much at School of Rock, he is a natural playing but once he started with the SOR he went crazy good and very fast, from just drumming to playing guitar and even singing at the same time, he even lost the fear to perform in public.
I love that they are individualized for each kid.

Our daughter is getting plenty of experience with singing in front of crowds as a part of house band, and she continues to learn. Now she is starting more and more to write lyrics to songs. She loves it!!! The kids and staff are great!

My son started playing guitar in August and absolutely loves it. He really enjoys working with Tyler and Matt. He has learned so much from them and has progressed nicely because of their patience, support and helpful feedback after lessons.
I love that there are 2 lessons weekly- one individual and one group. The individual allows for the much needed one on one attention but the group teaches my son what it is like to play with others.
We had the opportunity to attend a School of Rock show for Rock 101 and were extremely impressed by it. My son also had a blast playing with the other students.

Enrolling my grandson in SoR is the best decision we have made. It has been a very positive and rewarding experience for him and us. The teachers have been very positive, patient, and encouaging too. We are amazed at how much he has learned and is still learning. He has gained so much confidence playing the guitar. It blows our minds at the songs he just picks up and plays now. He practices all the time on his own. I just love that! We look forward to the end of season concerts. It's a real bonus to watch these kids play rock and roll.
The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable . Every time I walk through the door for my lesson the front staff welcomes me in and calls me by my name. My teacher is Tom and he is awesome. He knows everything about guitar. He’s patient and calm. The location in Henderson has nice private rooms that you do your lessons in. The whole staff makes you feel so welcome and doesn’t judge anyone at all. I would highly recommend this place for anyone of any age.

I love the way the kids learn to interact and become a team, to form a band. The instructors are fun, talented, and knowledgeable, and my son really enjoys the laidback atmosphere.
I have two children at the School of Rock and we absolutely love it. The reason I am giving it a 10 is for the staff my children work with and the GM; however, the cost is getting ridiculous and it will more than likely result in us limiting the our activities. My son is currently there 4 times a week and my daughter twice. For my son, this is the only activity and place where he feels comfortable and accepted. It is a shame we have to consider ways to cut back with the increase in costs. He needs this program.
While I love the staff at this school, and my kids have learned a lot, there has been an increasing amount of turnover in the last few months. I would definitely get this sorted. The kids get attached to their instructors and the way that they teach. They rely on their instructors to be consistent in their attendance and teaching. My son lost two instructors within the last 6 months. They have since been replaced by two incredible instructors but it has been a lot of change.
We love this program and need it to continue to be a part of our family’s daily routine.
