Great teachers. I wish you handed out traditional sheet music more readily.
I LOVE that this school recognizes and acknowledges that not every child learns the same. You adapt your teaching to the child and don’t try to get the child to adapt to you. It gives them the ability to find more joy in what they are doing and let their passion shine through. I also like that there is individual and group time. This allows the student time to learn their skill on one on one while also learning to use that skill in interaction with others.
The instructors and staff at School of Rock are just wonderful and caring people. We feel like family when we are there.

We like everything about the School of Rock (SoR) program. One thing that definitely stands out about SoR is the accountability factor.
Learning an instrument on your own or in a typical lesson atmosphere is very hard to keep motivated. When you participate in the performance program then the students are pushing themselves daily because they want to do well for themselves and fellow bandmates at practice each week. They go into breakouts during these practices with session leaders in their age range from the HouseBands as well as instructors, musical directors, and mentors to learn parts of their songs or to fine tune. It is a very rich learning environment and fun atmosphere. They are rewarded by getting to play in real gig environments and stages with real audiences for their mid-season and end-season shows.
Not only is this a TON of fun for the students and the parents, but it's also a great way to get comfortable on stage in front of an audience. This style of learning seems to push students with an enjoyable amount of pressure to learn their instruments much, much faster than other styles of learning. I find myself thinking it's embarrassing how it took me years to learn what little I know on a guitar vs these kids learning in a matter of a couple months. I am so grateful such a program exists for my kids.
That's not to forget for the social side of things. SoR really seems to be a safe zone where everyone appears to feel part of the community and welcome. The staff are all very approachable and they teach the houseband members (the experienced students that represent their location at various gigs) to set the example (at least at the Roseville location). We have found all of the houseband students to be very kind and go out of their way to better the new students and make them feel welcome. Those interested in the social side of things I can confidently tell you to stick with the program and give it a couple seasons. You won't regret it.
There is more to be said about the amazing Roseville location and the School of Rock program but I'll save something for my next review.
First, I like the vibe of it. It looks like everyone is having fun. I am leaning what I want and making progress.
I like that the kids are having fun and learning to work together. They’re really proud of themselves after each of the shows.
What I like is that you meet my son where he’s at. He has special needs and loves music and all of his instructors have been so awesome taking it slow with him and recognizing that the way he will learn looks a lot different than someone else. Thank you for making this experience one he looks forward to every week.

The staff is so wonderful, they go above and beyond. Our daughter loves being there and spending time with her instructors. Best place! Highly recommend.
Antonio was amazing with the children and they all loved him. Both my daughters do a lot of different activities and they both say Music class is their favorite.
The front desk is also very friendly and helpful. Any interaction I have had with staff has been wonderful.
My daughter has really come out of her shell since starting School of Rock. She looks forward to going each week and is practicing daily without being asked. Can’t recommend the program enough!
