The kids are having fun. The teachers are patient, and take their time with them. So far it's been a nice experience with SOR.

We love the location in Virginia Beach. Hannah is always amazing at the front desk. She is kind, caring, and always a ray of sunshine! Joe is the perfect instructor for my son. He is calming, reassuring, and makes my son want to learn. They enjoy the same genre of music, and he is willing to let my son learn whatever he is interested in at the time. Everyone at the school is great, and we would highly recommend the school to others that have children/teens that want to learn music in a fun, friendly and professional environment.
The organized and intentional programming, the expertise and care of the instructors and staff, the sensitivity and professionalism demonstrated by all when preparing for a show.

KC is both a fantastic instructor and mentor for Owen. His leadership means a lot to us. We also really appreciate the support from the school to enable Owen to submit auditions for the national level All Star Band and Songwriter Showcase. Owen continues to be challenged to grow and develop as a musician and as a leader.
Jordan and Sham are fantastic! They're gifted musicians and really magicians at times because they take musically illiterate people like me and somehow manage to teach us how to play music pretty well. I like the immersive process, which can be terrifying at first, but in a good way, and especially when performing for the first time/s. Then it becomes more comfortable, and now I find myself seeking out individual notes on the fret board and I can now say that I know what a chromatic scale is now, because I'm learning it while playing real songs. This is a really fun program and incredibly educational for those willing to put in the effort. This is one of the most fun things I've ever done - thanks!
I love that the students are encouraged to go outside their comfort zone to try new things, while being cheered on by the other students. The school creates an atmosphere that supports all students and accepts everyone for who they are.

Excellent management and staff! They treat each and every one of their many students as an individual….matching them with other students at their level regardless of age. I also feel as if the parents, students and staff are a tight community who continuously strive to keep each other safe in and around each campus. School of Rock continues to provide an open and inviting environment for all who wish to enhance their musical education ❤️

My kids have been at SOR Naperville for several years now.
Both have different personalities (extravert vs introvert) and the SOR Naperville team and instructors are absolutely AMAZING with both of them.
Instructors are experienced in different learning styles and truly get to know all of the students personally and are invested in their growth and development.
They know how to engage and challenge the students in a fun way.
My daughter would be there every day if she could and my son (the more introverted one) started off slowly but now cannot wait to try new things (the camps are GREAT for this) and comes out of every single lesson (group and private) stating that it was "EPIC"
The other kids are helpful and encouraging - they never hesitate to cheer each other or comfort each other when someone may not be feeling 100% about their performance.
I know this is long, but I have to also share this as I feel it is important.
SOR Naperville is a positive place for our kids. From the manager, office staff, incredibly dedicated and talented instructors to the other families and fellow students. They make everyone feel welcome and safe to be themselves.
Not every kid is a sports kid and at regular school, the arts are not always as embraced. Here, they want to see the kid’s creativity, hear their ideas, collaborate and embrace each other’s unique style.
I would recommend SOR Naperville without hesitation to any family considering enrolling and am grateful my kids are part of this community.
