The week long camp was exactly what my kids needed to reignite their desire to practice more! Practicing in a band all week was such a blast for them.... and the rock concert they put on at the end of the week for the parents was fantastic!

There are so many things I like about this School. They have a great staff of knowledgeable teachers who are friendly and easy to work with. If you keep going for a few seasons you will be amazed at how much you learn…..and not just about playing an instrument. About music in general, about the application of music theory and about what it means to be in a band.
For me it was their openness to me trying different instruments that made all the difference. Instead of sticking to guitar and maybe getting bored I was - literally - handed a bass. They taught me how to play it and now I know I was probably meant to play the bass all along. I also never really believed I could sing. Now I sing in our little band. It is so much fun.
This place is a jewel of the Bay Area.

My 10-year-old son loved his School of Rock camp! The instructors were very encouraging when it came to trying new things- although he signed up for guitar got to sing a song too! That was great as he isn't always sure of himself when it comes to new things (who is?!) and after the performance he was so proud of himself!
This was our 3rd year doing a summer camp at School of Rock and he's already talking about next year!

I like that there is variety in the type of music style. Students learn and have artistic freedom as they progress. I love how the students can experience what it’s like to perform on a venue stage in front of a large audience.
