School of Rock has been a a very warm and encouraging environment for my daughter to be in and for us as parents. She has a lot of fun every time she has a class or performance and shes consistently excited to be learning more and more about music!
Our son has been taking drum lessons since January 2023 and participated in a week of summer camp. He loves it! My husband recently decided to sign up for drum classes that coincide with our sons lessons. We love School of Rock!!
Great staff and good flexibility with days/times.
My only comment, and it is likely specific to my son, is that he is falling between Rock 101 and Jr Performance, as he has the ability to easily play at Jr Performance level, but at only 7, he is not quite ready to perform in front of the others, so he is staying with Rock 101, where it’s too easy but allows him to avoid any pressure.
It would be great if there were a more advanced class for students that have advanced abilities and who are younger, but I recognize that you have to focus on the majority of your students’ needs.

It’s been an wonderful program for my son just starting out in music. He’s excited for every rehearsal and show performance. The teachers are beyond great and School of Rock provides an amazing atmosphere to make them feel like true rock starts.
Amber was a great instructor and tailored sessions to my daughter's school play experience.

A safe, diverse place for creative youth to learn, connect and aspire.
I love that the kids get to do their final shows in real venues and practice working together as a group, working with an audience, etc. Those experiences have been wonderful for my son.
I do think there could be improvement on the social aspect of the bands. My son didn't know many of the band members' names (in more than one band). Since the ages are mixed, there is a real opportunity for the older members to mentor the younger members in a team-like atmosphere. I think that opportunity has been mostly missed and could easily be implemented.

My 9 year old had such a good time at Rock 101 camp. It's a great combination of fun and learning about music and the opportunity to play all the instruments. We loved it!

My son LOVES his practices and is growing so fast with his lessons! He has even brought new music in and they have been learning it together. He has such a blast and it is helping his confidence SO MUCH!

Teaching music in a team building environment
The School of Rock North Buffalo is the best music school my son has ever attended! They are truly professional musicians teaching the kids to play - and also how to interact as a live band. The kids learn organizational skills, team work and decision making skills. I have seen so many students build major confidence and transform into confident teen agers! It’s a family!!!
I like your group exercises the most. My children also say that they like the group very much and feel it is very interesting. I also like to give children the opportunity to perform on stage and cultivate their confidence and interest in music.
The people are great!
The programs work- my son is thriving - but what Hoboken offers is Jeremy and Rachel- the kids ( mine especially ) love these two. They have created a safe place of community, love of music and a challenging structure to help kids grow as musicians and people.
My wife and I are over the moon happy and soooo f’in grateful for Hoboken SOR. Best thing to happen to us since moving to NJ
Great so far. But the kiddos should be required to wear hearing protection during rock 101 band practice!!
