Student Testimonials
Teachers are awesome. The studio is so nice and always clean. I love that no matter which studio I visit, I can trust the experience will be great.
Nice people; nice surroundings.
I like that there are many class options in one day. I like the transparency of who's teaching. I like that there is easy parking.
The staff is friendly and really wants to get to know it's students. They are always looking to improve your experience and provide advice to help your practice in and out of the studio.
Great class, great music, parking code is on website (would be great in app).
Instructors are the best!
Facility is very clean, staff is really nice and the availability of parking is just the cherry on top!
Nice studio. Clean. I love the little tea and lounge area. Teachers are really nice and fun.
CorePower U-District is pretty much my home studio and I spend most days enjoying the classes. I would absolutely recommend CorePower Yoga, and in particular this studio, to friends and connections. I've called out some of the strengths and opportunities to grow below:
PROS:
-The management team is strong. It is clear that Kate and Catherine work diligently to build an open and welcoming community. They put in a great deal of effort to provide thoughtful classes and workshops, and are strong teachers who lead by example. This studio has grown and improved under their leadership and care.
-Great variety of classes provided. I also appreciate knowing that I can drop into the studio at almost anytime of the day and find a class that suits my schedule.
-Strong teaching core. These include: Kate, Catherine, Johnna, Juliana, Gabrielle, Sarah, Lee. And more!
OPPORTUNITIES TO GROW:
-It is tough only having 15 minutes between classes. I understand that this shorten period allows for more classes and more access. However, it feels like the studio is more of a highway and less of a community. The locker room is packed and it is hard to move around. In addition, I take the time after classes to briefly work on poses, like handstand etc., that I am still learning and/or take an extended savasana. Having only 15 meetings does not allow the class that just ended to have any time to relax or reflect on the learning from their class as the next class and the SET cleaners are already entering the room.
-Educating SET cleaners to not immediately enter the room so students may enjoy a minute or two of quiet before packing up. Currently, some SET cleaners come into the room, flip on all the lights, turn up/change the music, and begin cleaning around yogis who are still in savasana and/or are packing up. The impact of this is that I end up feeling like a burden and that I need to rush to get out of the room.
-Friday C2 instructor - Warren; continues to grow but needs some additional training and guidance. I have attended several of her classes and she has consistently forgotten her sequence - this ranges from forgetting some of the poses within the sequence to completely forgetting to even out the sides (right side vs left side). In addition, she has not quite gotten the hang of flowing one breath to one movement and the timing of the poses is disjointed.
Again, these are minor grievances that pale in the comparison the bright, strong, and joyful community that the U-District has thoughtfully cultivated.
Studio is very clean. Instructors are very professional.
CorePower is my second home, I know the instructors and they know me. I feel a rush of excitement when I walk through the front doors at CorePower UDistrict and am greeted by a happy face at the front desk.
The staff are so friendly! The studio is always clean and nice.
If I could change one thing I would make the women's lockerroom larger.
I love the accessibility
I feel supported, challenged, and inspired in every class I attend! CPY has fantastic instructors who keep their flows new and fresh throughout the week.
