Student Testimonials
I organize my weekends around Liv's 75 minute sculpt! It is challenging and fun, and every single sequence brings in something new (such as bear pose with a weight and block between legs - so creative!). Liv impeccably matches sequence to music and knows exactly what to do/ say to motivate the class when we need it, and those 75 minutes fly by astonishingly fast. I leave every one of Liv's classes feeling exhausted, accomplished, proud of myself, and grateful to be part of this community.
Space, instructors, and classes
i loooove the energy of the classes, it’s a whole experience:)
Yoga Instructor Simone E.
I liked the heat level of C1!
I thought it was great ; great vibes great workout . Don’t love how there is a mirror however, I know most workout classes have mirrors but I feel like yoga space should not have. Just my opinion though.
amazing!
It was excellent.
This was my first experience at the Georgetown location (I've taken over 200 CP classes). Great studio (jealous of the amount of room they have compared to my regular studio!). The instructor did a great job leading C2. I would certainly recommend.
The instructor (Laura D) was knowledgeable and clearly very comfortable teaching. The poses flowed well, the music choices were great, and I left feeling amazing. I will say, I miss the hands-on assists I used to receive regularly in CPY classes that now seem to have gone by the wayside.
The music the teachers the heat.
I love the instructors and the sense of commmunity!
One area that I tihnk would make this studio even better is “sweatiquette.” For a very popular class, I found many times when my yoga mat was wet because people behind me was sweating excessively, and I am now considering not to attend those classes... We all sweat a lot but a bit of etiquiette (e.g., bringing towel, wearing shirts, move within the 4 corners of the mat) would be wonderful...
LOVE IT!
Kaleigh and Liv are amazing!
Olivia has pushed me harder than any instructor I’ve ever taken! I love going to her Saturday classes and can’t thank her enough for making me stronger every class.
Liv was awesome, great music, flow, and amazing workout and energy.
Class was not too hot, which was perfect.
Locker facilities were very nice.
Instructor S. Elliott is amazing.
The Georgetown location of Corepower yoga has totally and completely transformed my life for the better. The instructors (specifically Kaleigh M, Liv V, and Alex) have built such a strong, welcoming, and supportive community. I look forward every day to coming to class to interact with my fellow community members and bettering myself through a class. The classes are always challenging (in the best way) and fun! I can tell that the instructors take care in preparing their playlists and sequences. The studio is always clean also. I really just want to hit home on how awesome the staff is. I plan to continue my membership here for as long as I live in DC! Well done!
Awesome teacher
Great Space and location. Instructor was amazing. Would differently be back.
Sunday Instructor Simone E is awesome!
Great class invigorating and friendly staff
Merari led a fantastic HPF class, in a spacious studio at a nice hot temperature!
This was my first time at CorePower Yoga and first yoga class too. I’ve always been turned off by yoga but loved that this had a big sculpt component and some cardio too. I sweat a lot and felt great afterwards. Really fun and energizing class.
Good instructors and friendly atmosphere!
Thank you.
I am very hard to impress due to being heavily influenced by San Diego style of Yoga (Katie B, Matt Westin, Tabu etc.). I never thought any Core Power Yoga teachers in the DC area can actually match the caliber of the west coast teachers, I was proven wrong today. The recent C2 class I took today blew me away. The energy, the techniques and sequences and philosophy brought to the class made me reminisce of the the time practicing at Pointe Loma and Pacific Beach studios. I was able to advance/develop my own practice and techniques and did not have to worry about being myself and getting disrupted from my meditation/trance state. The philosophy presented non-attachment and fully aware resonated with me the most. I noticed that not only what she presented was profound but how she acted on the philosophy on non attachment, the energy and environment of the studio was very different than the current DMV corepower yoga classes and the students loved it. I believe if more staff was trained in this philosophy of non-attachment (letting go of outcome, people, peoples reaction etc.) within appropriate boundaries and model other positive aspects of this teacher, you will see more successes in the studios. After all, the first step to manifesting your desires or awakening your third eye is to let go of attachment. With the hidden talents of this caliber in this studio and appropriate small changes, I believe Georgetown studio can be what it once was before COVID (Mecca of Corepower in DC).
Studio size was decent, liked the instructor
Great music selection and motivating teachers!
Techers, classes, positive energy. The class schedule at times is light and have to go over to Clarenden
Olivia V is fantastic
