Javier was very pleasant, helpful, prompt and conscientious and the drying out of the water under our wood floor and other places was successful. Although we did not enjoy all the noise and inconvenience, we enjoyed seeing Javier each day.
We had a lot of angst when the asbestos abatement rep (Larry Arangua with Alliance) wanted to tear out the cabinets to dry a wall where a panel with asbestos had been cut out by the plumber (said can't put blowers where asbestos could fly around). This would have involved full hazmat suits, breaking up the tile counter, cabinets probably breaking, etc. The State Farm adjuster, Frank Mallie, when he finally got back to me, suggested just securely taping the panel that had been removed back in place, then the blowers could be used. If this had been suggested initially by Larry, I would have been spared much anxiety and worry about having a torn up kitchen while trying to make major decisions about redoing it when I wasn't prepared. In addition, Larry said this was an emergency because of possible mold proliferation and scheduled the demolition team to come out before he even knew when the State Farm inspector was scheduled to check things out for damage. Had I not cancelled demolition at the last minute in order for the inspector to come first, I'm not at all sure State Farm would have paid for restoring the kitchen. I suspect Larry was rushing things in order to get business and was acting unprofessionally and unethically.
I suggest you be cautious about referring to Alliance if their policy is to rush things through and make mountains out of molehills in order to get insurance business. I am sending a copy of this to State Farm.

The service man was fantastic! He scheduled his site visits in advance and was on time each day. He was very thorough when removing the water and drying out our home. He did a fantastic job cleaning up after himself as well.
