J'aurais apprécié que l'inspecteur nous le dise si des éléments bloquaient sa vue ou sa capacité d'effectuer son inspection, tel que les manivelles de fenêtres qui auraient facilement pu lui être fournies pour effectuer son examen, au lieu de simplement nous dire bah il y en a pas, je peux pas inspecter et partir à une autre pièce. J'ai senti qu'on avait fait le strict minimum.
De plus, de parler devant les vendeurs de la maison comme quoi il y a rien de majeur à réparer ne nous aide vraiment pas dans notre négociation pour les autres éléments problématiques, j'ai trouvé cela très frustrant car NOUS sommes les clients...
Finalement, nous faire offrir des rabais chez Brick à la fin après près de 4h d'inspection, c'était pas professionnel et pas du tout nécessaire.
Bref, j'ai fait affaires ailleurs avant et ce sera le cas pour les prochaines fois aussi.

Very concise report
David Firth conducted a thorough inspection of the house. He identified three specific issues that required addressing and pointed out aspects of the property of which we were not aware. We had good communications with David and received a very complete report from him.
We were very satisfied with the process and the results of the inspection.
We had recently decided to use the AmeriSpec services because of the installation of a new furnace to achieve a rebate. We were I’ll prepared for the initial inspection as we were told AmeriSpec would come by and be very helpful and clear on how a rebate could be achieved.
Thinking nothing of it - my wife stayed home for the inspection while I was at work. As someone who is not as handy my wife felt quite overwhelmed by the list of things that needed to be done. She asked for clarifications several times but was still left unclear. We both were under the impression that a standard report would follow but were told that was not the case.
I did in fact receive a “customized upgrade report” several days later but other than a picture of my house nothing appeared custom. I was left unclear whether it was suggesting I change all my windows (which had just been done) or just the one that my wife remembered. It made general recommendations and did not list anything specific to my house and looked more like a pamphlet. In no way was it a custom report other than the numbers.
It generally made things more confusing than better. I did not find the report or the process transparent and clear. Eg as a first time home owners we had an inspection of our house and had an excellent inspector who listed and provided a report of things to do and fix. That way we had a checklist of items to reference and know we had to achieve. This was not the case here.
Regardless we are scheduled for our second assessment the coming week. But as we lead up to it I am still unsure if we should have bothered paying for the assessment fee given uncertainty in the process. I would probably caution others of the same in the future as well - especially if they are doing it in the interest of energy reduction given the lack of a clear thorough report.
He was very polite and respectful to our home.
Corey was very professional and personable. He was very knowledgeable about all aspects of the home and was able to communicate clearly about all of the systems. He was willing to work around our mixed up schedule and get the inspection completed on the day requested. Very well done.

Reg Deck is amazing! Our realtor recommended him for our first homes inspection and we couldn’t have been happier with the process!! He let us walk thru the home with him as he was working and explained everything he was seeing and gladly answered all of our questions (which there were a ton of), which made us feel very included and safe. Along with our 36 page inspection report ( !! ) they also included a first time home buyers binder which explains how often to do maintenance on your home and also a handy book which explains basic home repairs. Reg reassured us that we can call him anytime with questions, which we weren’t expecting and is very kind of him! We honestly couldn’t be happier with our experience with AmeriSpec and we will be recommending Reg to all of our friends and family!
Have had good experiences with your inspectors they seem to be knowledgeable and able to convey to the buyers in layman’s term to remedy any defiencies with the property
