The location and the people .
The foot straps on the bikes are mostly broken again. can you keep an extra supply in the back and have someone follow up on these? Also, the mask wearing by the employees remains sketchy at best. Some still do not cover their nose with the mask.
I love that the air filters were upgraded during the remodel at the club on East Prospect, and there is such a great variety of equipment to use! It is arranged well so that there is ample space to navigate the facility while practicing social distancing. I look forward to returning to the club ASAP!
I've also had good experiences overall with the folks at Genesis being flexible about keeping my account on hold without fees due to COVID-19.
Great classes and great trainers!
Get a pool and a hot tub. Improve water facilities and dressing rooms.
The overall maintenance of the club continues to deteriorate. Club continues to experiences problems regulating the temperature in the spin room and group exercise room.
Clean and equipment is well maintained. Friendly staff.
Best facilities, real certified trainers, clean and stocked shower rooms, flexible hours = best gym in town!!!!
Maintenance on the equipment to be faster or get new equipment.
Lower membership fees
This is for club on Ridgeview. half of the treadmills in the club have been there since the club opened. Majority have portions that don't work. The belt slips, TV's don't work or the headjack to listen to TV's don't work. channel 22 doesn't have sound. the treadmills that have fans on this all need to be cleaned out b/c you can see all the dust and junk that has built up inside of them.
I called the club on March 7 and the sales consultant Mark fielded my question and insured that someone would call me back during the week regarding my membership. To date, I have not heard from anyone. He also informed me that although I was told (by Tiffany) I could change my membership from the all-inclusive to the limited option when I signed up so long as I keep my one year commitment, that I was misinformed and now unable to do that. I would never have signed up to include the Westroads option otherwise, I was clear during my discussion that I would only try it out to see how often I actually used it and then was informed I could change it and downgrade if I wanted so long as I keep the one-year agreement. I enjoy using the clubs and I’m satisfied on that level, but I am not satisfied with the level of service I have received and this experience. I would really appreciate a resolution to this issue.
Build a basketball court upstairs
The amount of workout machines available
locations, work space, clean facilities
Too crowed since the gym came under Genesis ownership. Not clean, locker rooms are outdated, the roof leaks and parking is horrible
Friendly and helpful personnel and trainers!!
I think all employees need to follow the mask mandate. We have noticed (and commented) when we observe front desk employees and others not wearing masks on occasion. Our aqua aerobic classes are growing and there is a definite lack of equipment to meet these needs. As a 30-plus member of the Lincoln Racquet Club and later Genesis, I know some of the equipment, especially yellow bells and Styrofoam weights (bands for arms .legs) have been used since I first joined in about 1990. We need more of both, plus some of the Styrofoam weights are not in very good condition. Repairs seem slow. One stall in the ladies' room was out of commission for several weeks, before it was repaired a second one was in need of repair. We've been missing a shower curtain for months. One friend replaced it with a Dollar Store one, which lasted a few weeks, and I believe an employee also did the same.
GREAT POINTS: friendly staff.
I miss having water classes on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. I also make sure friends know that the indoor pool at LRC location will be closing soon (although I don't know when) for lenghthly renovations.
Variety of equipment and offerings. Also the cafe is great to have.
The new club looks awesome
Great staff!
I’m not happy with how the club has changed under new management. It’s not the “family” atmosphere it used to be. The parking lot has become nothing but potholes and no effort is being made to fix it. We need towel drop buckets back INSIDE the locker room, not just in the shower/sauna area as well.
All in all Genesis does a good job, it's a good facility with nice equipment. The staff is always helpful and friendly. I do however have a few items I've noticed.
1 - The wet sauna needs to be turned on every morning. I think it's more consistent now however there was a period of time when it was only on every other day or so.
2 - I'm not sure what the specifics are for the "join now and bring a friend for free & no initiation fee" however it would be wise to keep in mind there are full paying members that have been loyal so a saturation of no or low paying members isn't a long term fix.
3 - The locker combination locks in the men's locker room are a debacle. I know these were installed by Sky so not something Genesis did however they don't work properly a lot of the time. It's not about forgetting the code.
Like I said, all in all everything is good.
Locker room is generally not a very clean place I would think during a global pandemic that providing a sanitary place to work out would be paramount
