The club is dirty and most of the machines are broken they need to be fixed not just put the sign up it’s been like that for a while not worth the membership if everything is broken
Make your club like Merle Hay. Get rid of the members that have no gym etiquette!!!!! You know who they are!
The gym is great I love it!
I like the yoga classes on Sun that I went to precovid.
The new facility is great. There is lots of room and more equipment and places for activity.
Not crowded. Good selection of strength training weights and machines.
Very helpful in working with our concerns during COVID. Great teachers!
Cleanliness. Multitude of exercise choices. Friendly staff and patrons. Walking track. Swimming pools and jacuzzies.
More Squat racks and deadlift zones would be great.
The pools and locker rooms at Ridgeview
Happier more welcoming front desk staff.
Great facility! SUPER friendly staff!!
I like the friendly and helpful staff. I like the clean, white towels/washcloths available. I like to watch TV/movies while on the "machines." I love the warm pool and soaks in the whirlpool.
It's always very crowded on mondays but not sure what u can do about that. The parking lot is very crowded, sometimes I'm circling for a few mins looking for a spot especially around 5 to 530pm.
Staff don’t wear Masks and machines are not social distance. We are still in a pandemic and should still take precautions. I heard it was every other machine. This is not the case. Disappointing and should be shared.
When I come in to work out later in the day about 8pm or so, the staff working the front desk hardly ever has her face covering on. She wears a gaiter but its always around her neck and not up over her nose and mouth.
I love how much the gym offers...love the classes. Love how nice the facilities are and how friendly the staff is.
The long awaited remodeling is happening (as of April 2021). They are keeping sections of the gym open as they are tackling the pool area and locker rooms first. I primarily use the pool but have split my time between another Genesis gym for pool time. I stop by Independence to use equipment on the floor and to check progress. Can’t wait to see the changes. Hopefully one big change will be shorter wait time for hot water in the ladies’ showers.
The Leavenworth Club is Getting very shabby. Cardio machines are visibly dirty and worn out. In the weight room, some equipment is missing caribiners and in my opinion unsafe. Walls are chipped and in desperate need of paint. I hear such good things about some of the other genesis locations but this one is in dire need of refurbishment
Clean, convenient, variety, community, bright, well laid out, welcoming
The gym and fitness center is swesome@
Be cleaner. Don't provide dirty towels to sanitize the equipment. Paper towels are the most proper. Make people keep their mask on when they are walking around the gym. Keep doors open when the weather is nice to promote air circulation and when not keep it cooler to keep sweat down
Classes and instructors. Clean. Seem concerned about members welfare and safety.
The trainers are very motivating. Friendly staff at the front to greet you. The club is clean with Covid 19. I have been back twice now. Intend to return to group classes when I feel it’s safe. Senior classes I have really enjoyed in the past. I am glad to be back. Missed working out very much. Walks are ok but I need more to stay motivate. Thanks again.
Low key atmosphere.
There are many adult tennis clinics, drills, etc. Additionally, the exercise class offerings are fabulous! Front desk staff is always friendly and helpful!
I do the cardio and core class and it is one of my favorite workouts ever! Aimee is fantastic.
1) Machines, that are specific to one single exercise, are old and not effective.
2) Precor AMT machines - up in the gallery section - are not maintained properly. With Covid, there are only 3 available anyways, but usually just one that works right. Usually they are skipping without proper resistance or too squeaky or their display doesn't work, so adjusting is not possible. Even when I tell this at the front desk, repair doesn't happen for a long time.
3) During weekdays, there are not enough variety of group classes are available. My favorites are the bodystep and step classes, the bodycombat, the bodyflow, Les Mills Tone and probably the Bodyattack (that I haven't had a chance to even try yet) and they are ONLY scheduled during working hours (between 7 and 5), so I never have a chance to take them, unless on weekends. I prefer to come to the gym on weekdays after 5 and I can only take either body pump or some type of yoga all the time. I've tried basic training, but it's without proper warm-up and bootcamp style class, so when I injured myself, I decided to stay away. I would really like to be able to attend any kind of step classes or kick-boxing style classes after 5 during weekdays. With only the same types of classes offered, it's boring and lacks of motivation.
Thanks.
Something for everyone of all ages.
We go in the mornings and enjoy that it is not crowded.
