What do you like about our workout?

I really enjoyed this particular Orangetheory Fitness in Park City. Keri was an amazing coach and the front desk ladies were extremely friendly. I travel a lot and always look forward trying out different studios. I'll definitely come back to this one when I'm in Utah again!

What do you like about our workout?

Dave and Janette,
I am a very loyal member of the South Jordan Studio and have been a member now going on Three years. My wife Karrie and I joined when your South Jordan studio started up and I have loved it so much. In fact I have gotten many people to join that have filtered out to other of your franchise locations due to where they live and now in fact, they are members of Cottonwood, Draper, Sandy, and one was a member that has gotten about 6 others to join with him that went outside your franchise to Lindon, Utah and they are not happy there and are coming to Draper because of your great coaches!
Now, for some member input I hope you will take seriously and pass along to those who make the rules at a corporate level.
I have been working out now for as I stated, three years working out 4 times or more a week.
I find the workouts very challenging and bring me to a sweat mode and splats galore with finding I will never ever beat the workout and find myself totally in shape and finding the workouts too easy. Never. Because all I have to do if I want more is to personally challenge myself more and turn it up and I will find myself sore for days AGAIN. If I get too used to the workouts it is my own fault. You do a great job of selecting great coaches and the workouts are always a surprise in how they are going to kick my butt that day. Now, there are those that work out next to me that have an issue. Weight gain and I myself find fat appearing on me and the reason is nutrition! I sometimes eat too large a portion or too many times at the wrong time or eat processed sugar and white breads etc etc and bam I have fat coming in easily. I notice members coming and going all the time. Some friends I used to work out with have dropped off and gone away. Some change gyms because they find other locations are geo closer to them than SJ location and they are still working out. But, I would say about 80% of those that work out in my class are female. Of that 80% about 60-70% are muffin tops that suffer with excess fatty on their bodies. Many of them work out excessively like 7 days a week and they have excess fat that never goes away or they get bigger. The key has got to be on the nutrition side! If there is a way to encourage better nutrition and education around nutrition that would be a god send. Perhaps classes available from OT online, Saturdays, whatever. Tie in with apps that track. Social media that encourage strength in overcoming temptation and having a support team or others in the same boat. My wellness team here at work did a social media thing where people shared with others what they passed up! Took pics of deserts, fattening foods, cheesecake, fat salads, anything and shared with the group what they DID NOT EAT and it became a habit over time. My suggestion is get OT to embrace better nutrition so the members don't go after that next fad gym like one pushed my direction lately called Burn Boot Camp and Black Door. Nutritionists are being used to tout better eating and exercise is the key to cut physiques. I want to stay an OT elite. I want to have my new found friends stay and all of us start to get ripped and show people in our community that OT is where people are changed forever. When you start looking better people will want to know what you are doing to make the change and they will come. Don't let OT become a flash in the pan gym. It is better than that. If I can ever be a voice for you or personally express my thoughts to those that control the orange switch, I would be happy to help in any way. Thank you for coming to Utah. WE love you guys for taking a chance on us. Cheers, First name removed and Karrie Last name removed - South Jordan the original body changer!
