Clients/Member Testimonials
I love the coaches and the motivation of the group setting - it’s so awesome not to have to plan my workout- the variety and encouragement is exactly what I need to stay motivated!
Everything was very good and the teachers are excellent.
Everything, The staff are always friendly, helpful and encouraging! The workouts are tough but doable and you can always adjust to fit your level of fitness.
I am very biased and am an Orangetheory “addict”. I’m very old, pushing 70, but I’ve done over 1,825 classes since starting in 2017. What do I like?
..I’m a CPA so I like numbers and accountability and you get that with Orangetheory. You “commit” to attending a class and you do! I’ve never late cancelled a class and I’ve never been late. You can monitor your performance on a screen which shows your heart rate, how hard you are working and how many calories you are burning. Without this “commitment” and data that I get during the workouts, I can promise you that I wouldn’t go to the classes.
..Even though I’m old, I’m still competitive (even with the youngsters, and yes, they are all younger or much younger than me). But the heart rate kind of “levels” the playing field a bit. My goal is to be the hardest working person in class and while that doesn’t always happen, I’m rarely outside of the Top 3. It motivates me to “compete” against the other people in the class (and they don’t even know that I’m doing it — ha!).
..I get bored easily and I’m sure that what I’m telling you has to be untrue, but I don’t ever remember a class being the same as another class. Every class is different in various ways, including the time on the treadmill (it’s different length pushes, recoveries, all-outs, inclines, and different patterns so you never know what you are getting). The rower time can be anything or nothing at all. In the “weight room” who knows what’s going to happen, but it’s always different and sometimes involves TRX straps, bands, weights, upper body, lower body, step bench, etc.). A lot of classes and never bored. There are some classes that I don’t care for as much as others like when we do a lot of quick switching between tread, rower and weight room; I’m not saying that those classes aren’t good (maybe even better) for me, but I like the endurance type intensity more.
..You can go at your own pace. Everyone is at different fitness levels, some of us have physical restrictions, etc. It’s OK. No one other than perhaps the Coaches pay any attention because they are focused on their own workouts. Some people are starting a fitness journey, others are “really fit”, and then there are jokers like me who just muddle my way through. When I see these fit kids who can go much faster than me on the treads, row a bit faster than me, and lift a lot more weight than me, I wonder “what if I had Orangetheory at that age”. But it’s a supportive and fun group and no one cares if I’m lifting 20 pounds and they’re lifting 50; or I’m going 5.6mph on the tread and they’re going 8 or 9 or…
..I have only ever been at 4 studios (Greer, Woodruff Rd. In Greenville where I started and 2 studios in Naples, FL). All of the Coaches are pretty darn good, have good attitudes, and have the understanding and flexibility that they aren’t training anyone for Olympic competition! Now sometimes I may give them grief if they are playing too much “rap crap” music (we all know that music from the 70s, 80s and maybe the 90s is the best). Of course, you can never get enough of Michael Jackson, and the Footloose and Top Gun sound tracks! Ha!
..The front desk staff are always pleasant and fun to talk to and joke around with. They are the “welcoming party” and they do much more than sit solemnly behind a desk. They are the greeters, the motivators, and the cleaners! They make a real difference in your experience and the more that you get to know them, the more that you love them. Right now we have 3 coaches that started as front desk staff and they are all good.
Yes, I’m hooked. I had prior “gym” memberships, would go about 5 or 6 times but never had the discipline to keep it up. Orangetheory, for me, provides the tools to motivate me and therefore I’m very disciplined. I’d never go to another gym again. They are boring and not at all motivating. I do set shorter term “goals” and that also keeps me going. My next goal is to hit 2,000 classes and if I don’t get sick too many times during the year, hopefully that happens before Thanksgiving (hopefully in October).
Pushes me to work hard!
I love that it's fast-paced, challenging, and different every time I come. I always feel like the coaches are pushing me in the best way.
Very versatile, whole body workout
Great instruction, great atmosphere
Love the atmosphere- staff is terrific, very friendly. I truly enjoy how the trainers encourage everyone and allow me to work out at a pace that challenges me
I like the community. The SA’s and coach’s are really engaged and fun. The music is great, the energy is great. And the workouts are tough but doable.
Great coaches
It’s different every day
I enjoy the cardio and I also like the “push”!
A little motivation helps everyone 😊
Love the variety. No two workouts are the same. Like to be able to track my workout (heart rate, calories burned). Like the mix of cardio and weights
I like the music, the Organization/structure, the real time tracking of my heart rate and the push to get a good sweat. I don't have to worry about headphones to drown out "gym music", I don't get distracted by random people walking around and doing crazy exercises. I like the community and I like that when I'm done, I know I'm going to feel it. I like that I don't have to wait on machine to come available and I don't have to rely on my phone for entertainment or instruction during my workout.
I love the group setting for all the workouts. Every class is challenging and motivates you to push yourself. All the coaches are really great, and the music is always on point!!
Good trainers, friendly staff and the flow of the studio is great. Love the new treads and miss them when I visit out of state studios
The whole experience! Excellent classes that push you beyond your limits!
Covers a full body, cardio workout
I love the actual workout, but the coaches are my favorite. They are always happy, remembering my goals or injuries, attentive and upbeat. I also like the new tread/strength class options!
Everything is great. A good amount of challenge and easy to follow!
You can tailor the workouts to your needs and abilities, and coach David plays really good music and has good hype energy.
