I love everything about Orange Theory! This has been the most wonderful, positive choice I've made for myself. I have struggled for years to find a fitness routine that I enjoyed and could stay committed to, that would really be a part of my lifestyle, not a chore. And now I've found it!

The instructors are incredible and the very best: Flora, Tana, Jade, Anthony, formerly Kimmy. Different routine everything so it doesn’t get old. Amazing front desk folks. First three instructors are incredible with positive reinforcement, form improvement, and amicable pushing
Classes are always open any day/time. I live 1 block away and have just shown up 2 to 3 minutes before a class and have always found a spot. Never had to go back because class was full.
That said due to location, it is more expensive (surcharge). Probably why classes are never full, but I like it that way. Don't have to book in advance and miss it due traffic or finding parking.
The rest is same. Trainers are all good like other locations and they have same equipment / setup. Trainers don't push you....it's up to you to push yourself. However since there are less people, you get more personal attention with form and technique during weight sessions which is a plus.
Being close is the biggest benefit for me. I can decide to go to a class 5min before it starts and still make it with minute to spare.

I have loved my first few classes and love how I feel after the workout! The coaches are very warm and welcoming, I feel very comfortable. They help you tailor the workouts to fit your level of push. I’m excited to continue with Orangetheory!
Fun, great music, lots of variety.
This morning Coach Jo said “tough times don’t last, tough people do”. I needed that! I ran next to a member this morning who ran a 4 min mile. I ran a 12 min mile- but a ran the whole way! That personally is so fulfilling. Orange Theory makes that home for everyone and reminds us that we’re all athletes and doing this for ourselves

I like how it’s 3 different stations guided by a coach and everyone does the same thing. Even though it was my first class I didn’t feel pressured or intimidated at all; they said don’t be afraid to go at your own pace if you need to. And since the studio only does one class at a time everyone is there for the same thing and you can’t get distracted by anything else.
I joined OTF in January of 2022. Before then, I was hardly someone who was familiar with showing up for themselves in any way at all. I immediately felt embraced by the studio and it felt like a safe space -- which felt important, because any other studio that I had encountered in California (where I am from) had felt scary and unsupportive. I had recently moved to DC and was open to giving anything a try, and I am so glad that I did
It's now August of 2022, and I feel the healthiest and strongest that I have ever been in my life. I find that I crave workouts now, and I so appreciate how I am someone who will prioritize getting up early for a class, especially if it means securing a positive attitude for the rest of the day and making good decisions. I should add that I never wanted to run, so I felt that I would never be welcome in any kind of class. I was so wrong about that -- OTF is very welcoming of power walkers :)
All of the instructors are amazing, and I really enjoy the helpful structure, positivity and over all boost of happiness that this program and studio have brought to my life. I've made a habit of sticking to OTF classes even when I am out of town, and the 14th street studio continues to be the best location that I have ever encountered -- I think we all have Coach J to thank for that!

Efficient and customizable for everyone! The staff at Union Market are very competent and friendly.
I loved the variety - I grew up in a running family and have really wanted to find a workout where I can both use my natural running abilities and feel confident in that area while also tackling other exercises that involve strength, which has always been lacking from my cardio workouts and I feel really self-conscious and oblivious about. Having someone tell me what exercises to do and then having the autonomy to decide what is best for me based off of my lack of upper-body and core strength 😂 while also having a coach circulating to assist and push me is amazing. As I’ve mentioned I feel very confident in my cardio/running abilities and very self-conscious in my strength abilities. Orange Theory not only made me feel great about what I’m good at and pushed me to my limits in that area, but also made me feel comfortable and okay with where I’m at with both body weight and extra weight exercises. Sam pushed me but also offered modifications and made me feel comfortable with being less experienced. I’m determined to be able to do push ups after a few months at Orange Theory and am excited to see what else I can achieve!
