it's such a solid all body workout and your instructors really gear it to everyone in the class. I'm not a one size fits all person (in life or in exercise), but whatever OTF does at your Melrose location (and I've been to a few others; they're good but I don't think as good as Melrose), really works for me. even before I ask for adjustments, which your instructor always capably and clearly explain for me, the workouts are so good and helpful and really make me feel like I've achieved something. and I'm not a natural athlete! awesome staff too - always great at the location and also on texts. thanks so much!

I love the fact any OFT workout can be tailored to suit your physical abilities, so sometimes if I’m not 100% I can pull it back on the treadmill or maybe a few less reps on the floor
Hey there, just wanted to say how much I LOVED the recent class I took with Uly. His energy was so positive and I loved his music...he had a little something for everyone. Really hope he becomes a regular instructor at Century City.
Variety of workouts.
OTF has been a life-changing workout. The community of athletes and coaches is motivating. I love being able to check myself during my workout and push myself to metabolic heart rates that burn more calories. The tracking and visual accountability allows me to maximize my workouts and reach my fitness goals faster. It has changed my life and allowed me to continue to pursue my fitness goals even as I age.

I love how it changes every day and is always new and challenging! However I think we should do more ab workouts too.
I am from Richmond and was here visiting my son. As a member at the Short Pump location I wanted to utilize my membership at this location in Santa Monica. When I told the staff at the Short Pump Location about my travel they said I just have to call the CA location directly and make a reservation. I love the staff at my home location. They are great.
When I called from VA before leaving, the staff at Santa Monica location booked my class. The day before I got a text from the center reminding me about my appointment and guidelines and direction to the center. The staff up front were very nice and spoke to me very nicely.
I attended the the two morning sessions on Monday and Tuesday at 7 am and the coach was great. i got a punch (thumbs up/High 5) from him twice so made me feel good. Forgot his name. I think it is Jeff. The staff at the front desk were very cordial. I like the OTF workout and I will be sure to recommend to my friends.
When I come back I will be sure to visit this Santa Monica Location again.
My experience was fantastic.
I really liked the adjoining parking deck which made my drive and parking very easy and 90 minutes free parking was exceptional.
It was very easy to avail my membership privilege at this location.

It definitely provided an alternative to the normal gym routine I am use to.

This was my visit visit to OT. The initial instruction on what to expect and what to do was pretty fast (and difficult to hear because a class was being run at the time and the music was pretty loud) but I went with a friend who made it easier. I'm not sure I could have followed the trainer as well without her because its sometimes hard to catch if the trainer is talking to the rowers or the tread mill people. That said, I loved the workout! The heart monitor really helped me stay in the zone and the constant feedback of were you were was awesome. I also really liked the music choices - which were the right pace for me to keep moving. I assume they take into account age, height, and weight for what the defines the 'orange zone' but this wasn't relayed during the introduction. In any case, the instructor had lots of positive energy, the location is really convenient, and everyone was very friendly.

It Includes cardio and strength training. I need both so I feel like I'm getting everything I need in one hour.
Great coaches that provide really encouraging feedback and correct form. We genuinely enjoy coming for workouts.
My only issue would be the cleanliness--the rowers in particular often have gunk and hair built up on the footplates. Just as a side note, we are often encouraged to reuse wipes, but in order for them to actually remove germs from a surface, they have to be quite wet so dry wipes are ineffective (I work in hospital medicine and infection control is a huge issue).
Overall we really love OTF Melrose and always highly recommend it!
