Nice location
Bach to Rock has wonderful, caring, talented teachers who go out of their way to enrich the musical experience of their students and help them grow to become better performers on a weekly basis.
Organized skill levels for my son to progress through and also the opportunity to play with a rock band (which is not easily found for a 10 year old)

A bit pricey for 1 hour private lessons
I like the play-along CD of music that makes practice time more fun and more productive. I like the fact that the group lessons give my only child a chance to interact with kids his age. I like the fact that lessons are easy to follow for both myself and my son. I especially like the fact that my son has loved his piano lessons since the very first lesson.
Very professional and organized. Scheduling is easy and flexible. It’s nice to have the online account to track progress. Staff is very friendly with great communication.

My 13 year old loves her B2R lessons! She is learning to play guitar and doing voice lessons, and also her teacher helps her work on her own songs, which has been so good for her self-esteem.
Flexibility & broad options
I like the variety of instruments you can learn to play as well as the time availability.
Our son use to receive drum instruction from a well know Music Shoppe in Purcellville, but after some time we realized he was being taught by a high school student and wasn’t progressing, so we were seemingly just paying for jam sessions. We are very happy to have found Bach to Rock (Landsdowne) — and it’s worth the drive! Sawyer has a formal education in percussion, so he’s able to help our son with percussion class material, but he’s also able to help him improve his skills on the drum set for the school Jazz Ensemble and the church Worship Band!

All the teachers I met are just awesome and seem to just work with all the kids and parents. Everyone is super helpful with any concerns and really understanding. As a single parent who works a full time job and trying very hard to juggle multiple children's schedules, I have found them to be willing to work out anything. My kids genuinely enjoy and want to come to class, even when it seems like they are having a hard time focusing. At home they talk about what they learned and have a positive attitude towards music and learning more.
Great, easy to follow instructions that have given me confidence in learning an instrument. Staff are knowledgable and encouraging and seem to be tailoring the lessons to my progress. I had been excited to start, but It’s been a better experiences than I had expected.
My 5 year old seems to enjoy the class.
We like that Bach to Rock not only teaches music but musicianship. Learning to play songs they like with other people really supplements the standard music lessons.
Band camps offered during school holidays, are the best! No other place has that. Also have loved all the instructors.
