I go to Fleet Feet yearly to purchase one or two pair of shoes. During each visit I have been greeted and assisted by a store representative who asks open ended questions regarding my reason for visiting the store (type of shoe, exercise, activity, past experiences with shoes, injury current or past). The associates have been patient, they listen and are not in a hurry to get me out the door. They also provide specific feedback. When I was at the store earlier this week I met with an associate who exhibited all these traits (open ended questions, patience, good listening skills, asked specific questions). Although there were several customers who showed up while I was there, the associate was able to help us without sacrificing customer service. Additionally, when the store got busy, an associate (possibly the manager???) came out and started helping other customers. I have been so impressed with the customer service I have continued to receive at Fleet Feet which I hope is a result of a good HR team, training for the employees, hiring employees who are knowledgeable about the products, employees who are not “pushing” the higher end products or unnecessary products and a company who I hope treats their employees with respect and recognizes the importance good customer service plays in maintaining and advancing business.
