The food, the service, the ambiance - everything! La Tavola is our favorite restaurant. The food is consistently good and if the nightly specials aren't something you are in the mood for, the classics like Mushroom Tagliolni or Veal Saltimbocca are always good! The servers are always friendly and do a great job of explaining the menu, and the entire staff works together to ensure a high level of service and attention. The restaurant has a cozy neighborhood vibe, from the bar where some people dine to the booths/tables and even an outdoor balcony in good weather months. Have loved this place for years and can't wait to go back!
I love the authentic flavors and presentation. It reminds me of my time in Florence. Having real Italian food as opposed to American-Italian is such a refreshingly culinary change.

The service and food was excellent.
It's always great, but Nick and his staff went the extra mile on what was a difficult night. A torrential downpour caused some water to drip/leak by our table. But due to their professionalism, service mentality, and attention to detail, what might have been an annoyance turned out to be no big deal. We actually joked with them about it, and their great attitudes and efforts were really appreciated.

Food, location & service! Likely the best service we've had at the restaurant. Can not remember the young lady's name at the bar, but she served us in our regular booth and took care of us so well!

The food was great! I've been to South City Kitchen many times over the years and they are still maintaining a high standard. We were served quickly and the food and drinks were good like they always are.
The service was prompt & friendly. Most importantly, the food was fresh, well prepared and delicious.
