The following comments were submitted by our customers when asked to provide feedback on our service. In the interest of transparency, we present these comments as provided except that personally identifiable information has been hidden unless the reviewer has requested their full name be included with the review. No unfavorable comments have been removed.
1. Most important: pricing was fair for the service provided, but it was important to be have clear expectations between me and the estimator. Paperwork was complete and professional. Needs improvement: I was passed on to customer service without an official "hand-off" from Richard Palmer, the estimator. He was the only person I had met, but I felt like he was difficult to reach after our first meeting. I had to keep leaving a message with customer service, and it wasn't easy to finally connect with Richard. Then he said he would send me an email with my questions answered and a direct phone number, but the response was incomplete, until I kept prodding for a response. He was professional throughout, though. Maybe you need more estimators to share the load...
2. Everybody from Meathead was always upbeat; that's much appreciated during a stressful time.
3. Complete service offerings were convenient, whether I took advantage of them or not. Needs improvement: One person called in the early phase and kept talking to me about San Luis Obispo, but I needed service in Oxnard. That made it seem like the right hand didn't know what the left hand was doing.
4. Breanna (I think her name was) talked up the Meathead Storage on Mauldart. She was so enthusiastic and advised me to stop over there and take a tour. It was because of her that I even considered using your storage location. I was going somewhere else originally. She's a keeper!
5. Storage Building is clean and well-maintained. I visited one of your competitors' warehouse storage location, and that was one reason I did not go with them (it was so dingy). Needs improvement: I was told by Faith that storage would coordinate our move between the Movers and the Storage. Our move day was Sunday. Because of COVID-19, earliest start was 10:30. But storage was closing early because it's Sunday. When move team captain asked me for my storage unit #, etc., it was obvious that the Storage Unit part of the team had failed to provide me all the necessary information; It appeared to me that they were more focused on getting my credit card # but not serving the customer. In the end, it was really Mike (storage) and Luis (Move captain) who did the job well and took care of the details so I didn't have to worry about it.
6. Last but NOT LEAST, the Move captain Luis Vasquez was the key to the 10 rating (it's 9 because of the "needs improvement issues in #1-5 above." Luis was competent, well-trained, had excellent communications skills, and did a great job of balancing the client's interests with Meathead's policies and business interests. He was "in-charge" but seemed to get along well with the rest of the moving team. I was impressed by all of the team's work ethic, the way they lifted boxes using the correct muscle groups (to avoid injury), and hydrated their bodies They jogged too, as noted in your marketing materials. They wore masks when dealing with the clients, provided "sterile" pens. They worked hard, were organized in their approach to the task at hand, and I hope you pay them well. In addition, they took great care in wrapping the furniture and remained upbeat throughout the day, even though I'm sure they were exhausted towards the end. They are the reason we will likely move with Meathead again from storage to our next home. THANK YOU!
We like everything about Meatheads service. The men, Josh and Marc, were early, were very polite, and most important, they were very good at what they do. They were also very careful not damage anything, while being careful not to get hurt. We most definitely will use Meathead Movers for all our needs! Great job guys!!

Communication re: pick up time was unacceptable. Several days before the scheduled date we had received an email stating pickup time would be at 1:00PM. On scheduled day of pickup, we called the office to confirm that time, the person in the office stated pickup would be at 10:00AM.
After several calls back that AM, the 1:00 time was confirmed. The moving truck actually didn't arrive until 2:30PM. The office person seemed confused as to what city the pickup was in even though this information had clearly been communicated at the time of scheduling. The cost was extremely expensive. We most likely would not use this service again.

You were amazing-good communication and everyone was always on time-even early.
First crew showed up late. Then had to be replaced, causing a delay of 4.5 hours. I personally ended up moving several pieces in my truck that the movers were supposed to take care of. Replacement crew was much more professional, however did not listen to the care that needed to be done for the very expensive sauna. As a result, the $4100.00 sauna was broken.
