I like that the league is organized and times don’t change last minute, and if they do i9 communicates right away. I also like that it’s about building confidence in the younger players.
One thing I would like to see changed is the time frame of when games are scheduled. Currently they seem to be back to back with no time in between. When we are trying to finish watching our game the next team is there ready to practice, and/or they are loud and become a distraction. Several times this season we have had people come and step in front of us. They usually don’t have many other places to choose as it gets very crowded, but it takes away from the experience. Things happen in the game that stop the clock (injuries, people not knowing how to run the clocks, etc) so it would be nice to see that there is more time built in between the games.
My son has amazing coaches this season. Also, the referee for all of the games this session has done a great job of controlling the flow of the game and explaining to the kids why he makes certain calls.
This is the first time we have done i9. I like the game and practice on the same day. I also like our coaches. I know they are volunteer- but are doing a great job.
Fun, great recreation league, provides opportunities for kids to learn new sports without any pressure, nice to have practice and game together so only once a week commitment
Time/convenience. Friendly and appropriate level of competitive-ness. Our ref we’ve had this season is really great about taking the time to make sure that the kid that made a violation understands why it’s a violation.
I like the coaches and the confidence, skills, and inspiration instilled in my team. I like the team player skills and sportsmanship in my teammates. I also like the fairness and respect encouraged by the coaches in my team.
