We've been to just about every club location. We've been driving out of our way (passing up both Rocklin and Roseville which are much closer) the last 2 yrs to go to the Citrus Heights location because of the wonderful staff, exceptional child care, and engaging trainers. In my nearly 20 yrs of membership this is by far my favorite location.
As an aside more shade on the pool deck would be greatly appreciated. This particular location, like most others, is in full sun all day and it's so hot on the pool deck. There are only 3 tables with umbrellas for shade. It's not uncommon to find people with their backs up against the building walls trying to stand in the 6-12 inches of shade that the building provides. Today there were 5 different groups trying to share the shade of one table/umbrella and it's kind of silly seeing as this is a fairly easy thing to rectify. It would be great if you could add some freestanding umbrellas or even sail shades, any additional shade would make the pool more enjoyable.

Friendly staff and good equipment. At the Arden location I wish the pool was more available for lap swimming. Sometimes they buoy off most of the pool for family and swim lessons and lap swimming is difficult

Awesome instructors. It is time for a Spin Bike upgrade at the Citrus Heights and Orangevale facilities. They are worn out, and need frequent maintenance. Also, Orangevale Spin room needs AC repair - too warm in there.

The club is very positive and is great for families and kids. The staff has always been helpful to and supportive, especially in kids Club and child care.
Our Carmichael club is like making friends & family for a lifetime. I have been part of Cal Fitness for 35 years, & find myself missing the gym experience when I'm out of town. We are real fortunate to have so many wonderful young & old that are able to work out together.
On a whole the staff & trainers friendly & willing to help.
My one pet peeve is they have never done anything about getting more air circulation since they moved the treadmills to make room for handicap. Fans are to far away. I'm Happy to say I'm part of Cal Fit.
