The senseis
Entire staff are experts at their art, skilled teachers and likable people. The only dojo ive found in 20 years that has a significant, and consistent group of adult students. That says a lot about the quality of the program for adults too.
Sensei Amanda is the glue that holds it all together. The kids love her and respect her because she expects a lot out of them , leads by example and truly cares about them. Its obvious she loves what she does .
Great teachers who are good with children and have high expectations. My daughter is thriving and loving karate.
We feel that both of our kids (First name removed and Maya) are learning a both a physical and behavioral discipline while still enjoying themselves. They clearly derive self-satisfaction from their accomplishment in the class. We think this comes from the balanced instruction (from both Sensei Jaime and Sensei Amy) provided, which teaches respect for the class and institution and for the other class members while focusing the kids on working hard to learn (sometimes the initiative to work hard has been a challenge!).

I like that the philosophy of the dojo is about being a better person, not just a good athlete. This has been such a learning lesson for my child and I'm proud of what he's accomplished.
I've been training 3 and sometimes 4 times a week in karate for roughly 28 years and have trained with many instructors. I can say unequivocally that classes taught by John and Elisa are of the highest quality. Not only is their own karate excellent... they know how to teach it.

I enjoy the workouts because they are never the same. That keeps things interesting. FMA also has very knowledgable karate instructors.
My son & I have been training the art of Shotokan Karate at Fonseca Martial Arts together for 1 1/2 years. What I like about Fonseca Martial Arts is that it is like our 2nd home. Everyone is very professional & friendly. I like the attention to detail for each the styles of martial arts offered at the dojo. It doesn't matter if you are 6yr old,18 or 45, there is a welcoming place for you here. I highly recommend the dojo for anyone interested in martial arts.

As a parent I appreciate how nicely my child is treated, receiving a wonderful training in karate from very friendly and qualified senseis. Ability to chose any day of the week, as often as we feel like to attend the class.

I am a member of the 6am bootcamp (M-W-F) and 8am on Saturdays. The class is incredible and I've done a lot different bootcamps. Both Shara and Jeff are excellent trainers and add variety and intensity to every workout.
I like and this is coming from First name removed directly. I like to learn different techniques, I like senses Amanda and sensei Carina. Karate is fun. As a parent I like that there are a variety of senseis to chose from depending on my son's comfort level and ability. I would like to see more different kinds of techniques though to increase his enthusiasm...sometimes it's gets kind of redundant but sensei Corina changes it up a lot and First name removed loves it and she makes them work hard and get the correct way to do something,
Karate training which leads to the betterment of one's physical, mental & spiritual health. What's not to love?
