Mark is knowledgeable, thoughtful and careful — all important qualities in any skilled service provider. But the fact that he has a mobile service is also huge. Moving furniture can be treacherous and not having to do that is definitely worth the trip charges. Also, I think for a job that involves creativity as well as competence, it helps for the craftsman to actually see the client’s home and make recommendations accordingly.

Mark Ryan restored our wash stand to a beautiful condition, reducing the water ring on its surface, sanding down and then staining with a light stain that surprisingly brought out the deep reds in the wood. We are proud to own this piece of furniture that my parents had purchased decades ago from an antique dealer and used as a workhorse piece. Mark also made short work of some emergency repairs we needed on our bed frame and an old Scan sofa frame and footstool. I would highly recommend Mark Ryan for your restoration and repair needs.

I would use them again in a heartbeat! Our situation was unique. We’d had some mid-century chairs reupholstered by a Furniture Medic in IL. When we got to NM, there were some issues. Mark worked with the IL Furniture Medic so he could take care of the issues locally. He didn’t have to do that. The chairs presented some unique challenges, but Mark was determined to make sure the issues we had were resolved to our satisfaction. I highly recommend them!!!

The workmanship to restore our broken spindle wooden chair was amazing!! You can not even tell that one spindle was ever split. Mark responded quickly to every email and was honest with his opinion about the restoration. It was as simple as making a phone call, emailing a photo and a week later our family heirloom was restored! He even offered to pick up the chair for us! If you ever have something to be restored I would highly recommend Furniture Medic.
It's hard to find someone who cares about your old furniture as much as you do. These guys took great care of my 100 year old dining room table and chairs. They look great and a heck of a lot less beat up.
