The teachers and people at Sylvan have been professional yet friendly during all our interactions, and they try very hard to put the kids at ease. My child shows improvements in both her attitude towards learning, and her grades.
The staff worked diligently with our 5-year-old granddaughter who up until her Sylvan experience, had very little formal learning. Sylvan helped her learn to recognize and write most of the letters of the alphabet. Our granddaughter's handwriting improved IMMENSELY. The token system was, of course, a hit with our granddaughter. She loved going to 'Saturday school' as we called it. We loved seeing the improvement in her skills in recognizing upper and lower case letters and writing them.
My daughter is learning and she is very comfortable there. And is having fun too.
It's a little too early for me to be evaluating, actually. We just started so I'm not sure what the results will be. The people I've worked with so far have been very clear communicators. The flexibility of the program is also wonderful. I hope the results will be as good as the experience so far.
Personal attention; I understand the plan for my son's progress and can see how he is completing the various tasks outlined in the curriculum. In just 8 hours of instruction, my son's writing has improved 100% -- this after failing English last year. His writing is clearer, more precise, and ultimately more expressive. Thank you, Sylvan.
Teachers explain math very clearly and have a lot of patience with my kids. Carly and her staff are excellent to work with. They create programs based on the kids' need and provide us periodical reports to show how much progress my kids are making. I think that Carly runs the center really well.

Really like the individual one on one instuction Mikaela is getting. She also likes the intructors. Although she prefers certain tutors,I think it is good to mix it up from time to time. I think different approaches from different teachers makes it more interesting for Mikaela. This way it keeps it more fun, and alows for a variety of teaching styles.
My son enjoys going to his lessons and leaves with positive feelings. The director has been attentive to our questions and concerns. Overall, this has been a good experience for both the child and the parent.
