Everyone at the Huntington that we go to, are very helpful and caring. They did their best to find the best tutor for our kid based on her needs. Scheduling was easy and sessions are very consistent. Things happen smoothly. The class area is quiet and calm and it seems that kids can pay attention without interference from other kids.
Certified teacher tutors. Student support quickly, accurately identified in initial consultation with my child and I. Office works to find the right match in terms of teacher-tutor expertise and family schedule. Reasonable cancellation and rescheduling policy. Ultimately it’s results. My daughter was testing 60/70s in Geometry/Algebra 2 and is now in the mid/upper 80s.
Reliable people
The teachers are very nice and helpful. Everyone is very friendly.
I see progress with my child since she started, both her confidence to complete her assignments and the scores she receives from school.
A teacher is really good at helping my son' reading. And The Manager can catch what I want for this class for my son and tried to help my son's weak point. I am really satisfied with this teacher and the manager.
Huntington has been a wonderful experience for Vicky. His English, vocabulary, and math have all improved noticeably, and the patient, engaging teachers make learning fun and effective. I highly recommend it to any parent looking for a supportive place that helps children grow academically and in confidence.

My daughter is able to learn and enjoy while doing it.
After years of homeschooling, we found ourselves in the precarious position of our children being years behind their grade level. We tried a co-op for 2 in-person days for 2 years with the promise that they would catch up. 2 years passed and the situation was worse, not better. We looked at private schools but at this point our children were behind 4 grade levels and that gap was too much to overcome in traditional environments. We found ourselves with no hope. But, an admissions counselor introduced us to HLC. I met with Chris Appel and he evaluated each of our students. As expected, there was a canyon between where the kids were and where we needed to be. We had a 9th grader, 7th grader and 3rd grader. While we were lost, devastated, ashamed, we were met with kindness, confidence and direction. Chris presented a customized plan for each child and suddenly the insurmountable divide seemed reachable. The journey was broken into steps. It was expensive but they worked with us to ensure that we received value for every dollar spent, presented opportunities to buy blocks to reduce costs to make the whole mission achievable. 9 months later the kids have each achieved at least 2 years of progress and in many areas have caught up 3 grade levels. As a working father, imagine my feelings of failure to discover my middle aged teenagers struggled to read. I found that technology hid many deficiencies, like talk to text. The kids were innovative in that they had learned to write entire papers, messages, emails, etc. all by utilizing modern technology. Huntington has been a game changer for my family! All I desired was for my children to be able to read, write, and have the confidence to have every opportunity afforded to my generation, to go to college if they desired. None of this was possible 9 months ago and suddenly, we are within reach of each of our children’s grade levels. Simply unbelievable! It wasn’t without effort but our children matched Huntington’s enthusiasm.
Mary greets each child with a smile. I have never seen her have a bad day. Leila is so encouraging and informative. She is tough but kind and always makes the kids feel like they have what it takes. Chris has been steadfast in his mission to help our family and always has data to back up their progress. He is compassionate about our situation and always meets obstacles with a gentle confidence, pivoting to ensure we don’t compromise on anything less than our original objective. This is more than a business…HLC is an educational partner. If your child is struggling, give them a chance. We don’t all have the same learning skills, sometimes a child might need a little help. If you are considering a tutor for your child, I strongly encourage you to visit Huntington Learning Center in Broken Arrow. I hope you find them as impressive as our family has! -Danny DeMoss
