The evaluation conducted by Sylvan was truly amazing. The staff went above and beyond to assist me and even referred me to a special education advocate for my son. The help and information they provided were incredibly beneficial. I highly recommend the Sylvan Learning Center in Schererville, Indiana. Their dedication and support made a significant difference for my family.

My daughter has greatly benefit from the English classes and her English reading and writing skills have been greatly improved after taking the classes for a while. Most importantly, her confidence of reading and wring have greatly increased because of the English class. This Has also greatly helped other subjects like science, social studies, and debate. Thank sylvan again for this excellent service.

My daughter has been attending Sylvan since her Sophomore year. She has always struggled with math. Sylvan helped her understand Algebra and she felt confident enough to try PreCalculus now in her Senior year. She still attends Sylvan for PreCalculus. I highly recommend Sylvan not only for their teaching expertise but also for their kindness and thoughtfulness. They really care about their students!

I am grateful that I was recommended to utilize Sylvan in Schererville, IN to help my grandson with his declining grades! I am happy to say he is currently in 8th grade, and is receiving As and Bs at this time! His previous grades were Cs, Ds, and Fs in 7th grade. He was awarded Bulldog of the Month this September, and we were all so proud!
I had been struggling trying to find tutoring last year (7th grade) that would work with our schedule, and focus on his academic needs. He spent his summer in the reading program at Sylvan, and increased his reading level from a Grade Level Equivalent of 6.1 to 7.7 in 5 months!
He likes all of his teachers at Sylvan, and he continues to go twice a week for homework help, and 2 hours a week in a reading program. He spent two years doing E Learning during COVID, and that played a huge role in his decline in his academic skills! He needed help, I struggled to find tutors, and we were so fortunate to be referred to Sylvan!
I added my granddaughter to the tutoring program for homework help this year (6th grade). Even though she’s a good student, she struggles with math at times, and this provides her the additional help she needs.
I want to thank Jen Ditola, Director for running a great program! After Jen conducted my grandson’s initial assessment, she reviewed his results with us, recommended where he needed help, and provided a great first impression that we were where we needed to be!
Also, I want to provide thanks to Stephanie Miller for conducting my granddaughter’s initial assessment, and keying in on the areas where she needs help. She currently attends twice a week for homework help. Her current grades are all As with a B+ in math, and that is what her tutoring is focusing on.
My husband and I are grandparents raising our grandkids, and we feel so fortunate to have found Sylvan, in Schererville to provide the academic assistance the kids need!

I needed to get my grandson help right away since his grades were declining. I tried to get him help from the school, emailed and talked with teachers, and his counselor. The help from the school was during school hours and was limited. My grandson was embarrassed to seek help while in school, also. I tried to get a tutor, but that also failed. I was referred to the Sylvan located in Schererville, IN by a physical therapist I was receiving treatment from. I called right away, got my grandson in for an assessment with Jen, and signed him up that day! I was able to get him the help when he needed it, and his math grade has improved! He’s enrolled in reading during the summer. Grateful for the help!

Everyone has been so accommodating and informative. They put the children first and all of the staff have such a great rapport with parents and the students. My grandson has made such great progress in the short time he has been with Sylvan. I’m so pleased to see him not struggle as much. He enjoys going and now enjoys reading which he struggled with before coming to Sylvan.
