We got this service for our 15 1/2 year old grandson. He logs on 5 mornings a week for one hour. I am usually in a nearby room and can hear some of the conversation between my grandson and the instructor who are always friendly, interested and upbeat. I like the way they get him to think outside the box and be thoughtful before answering. He is learning to get more out of what he reads and be a better writer. He was struggling with his English/Lit and hopefully by the Fall he will be ready to be a more critical thinker. I do intend to continue Sylvan for him a few afternoons a week directly after school and from what I understand, Sylvan will connect with his teachers if need be!

Professional Tutors, reasonable prices, always helpful and flexible with scheduling and occasional scheduling challenges! My kids get good grades now and have help when they need it!

Throughout the two years we have worked with Sylvan, the staff has been flexible to the changing needs of our son. Their model of 1:1 teaching ensures quick progress and each instructor has been quick to praise or gentle in correction. We couldn’t be more pleased!

We were nervous about what kind of experience we would have with a National group rather than local word of mouth kind of referrals. Boy are we glad we gave Sylvan a try. Everyone has been amazing and more engaged with our daughter than we could have hoped for. Our daughter’s progress has also far exceeded our expectations. Krista and her team are wonderful. Our daughter actually enjoys her sessions, even after a full day of school, and comes out sharing more excitement than she does about her ‘regular’ school day. She is also routinely excited and so proud of herself when mastering new skills. Amazing experience all around.
