My daughter has had a very good experience in her SAT prep classes. She has been working very hard with the class, in addition to a busy school and sports schedule, but she almost always leaves class feeling successful and positive.

The teachers are very kind and patient. They like to help you in any way until you get it right.
The pace the instructors work at is based on each student, NOT a set schedule. IF the student is learning quicker, the instructor can get ahead and move on to the next level. If the student is struggling, the teacher works with tehm until they understand the work. It is individualized for every student.
We loved the fact that helping my son excel was their top priority! After many failed attempts with tudors and small groups within the local school system, Sylvan was able to assess my son's weak areas and address his needs. We saw improvement in his classroom work and confidence immediately! Mrs. Debbie took care of our son as if he was her own. She has a special talent for allowing him to work at his fullest potential. She kept Joshua engaged in the learning process and allowed him to meet his goals with excitement. We can't express in words, how grateful we are to see our son smile and excited about school and for that Mrs. Debbie will always hold a special place in our hearts. Sylvan worked as a team. As parents, they kept us informed and provided tips for helping our son at home. They also contacted his school to keep them abreast of his current learning goals. We liked that after the second day of Sylvan our daughter MicKenna received a Sylvan t-shirt, and the first words out of her mouth when we picked her up were, "Look what my teacher gave me! I really want to write on it, 'I heart Sylvan!'" It was so reassuring to know that MicKenna was truly enjoying learning over her summer break. Sylvan proves that you can have fun and still get results!!!
