The services work. Weeds were gone in about 8 -10 days just like the technician said.
Our lawn is looking much better since we started using TruGreen. My only complaint is that it is impossible to speak with someone locally and I wish we could have the same representative come to our house each time. Because of our lawn improvement, three of our neighbors hired TruGreen as well. We have wild violets in our yard from our neighbor (who doesn't use TruGreen) and it appears it will take a nuclear bomb to get rid of them. I've been told something different by each TruGreen representative that treats our yard. I was told by one that the only way to get rid of them was to dig them out by the roots. I spent hours on my hands and knees digging them up only to have another representative tell me that they will just come back. It's really frustrating. I found this information and wondered if you use these products?.
"Fall is the best time of year to control the wild violets. It's a perennial weed with a long tap root on it. Use a broadleaf killer that contains 2,4-D or Dicamba, and it will selectively kill the violets without damaging the grass. Another great wild violet herbicide is called Drive (quinclorac)."
