Our experience with Sylvan has largely been positive. The administrators are friendly and responsive to inquiries and the instructors are engaging and professional. We may have been lucky to have started the program during the pandemic. While there seems to be a bit of downtime during lessons when an instructor is providing individualized attention to the other student, I would expect this to be exacerbated by having the student to teacher ratio increase to its normal levels. Again, overall I have been quite satisfied with my experience at Sylvan and the results seen with my daughter.

The teachers are great and they really cater to your needs as a student. They make sure to go over any questions you missed and give great explanations to the questions you ask. The SAT Binders are really nice because they have all the material in them are super helpful with the practice questions they have. The Sylvan Website is a great tool to use to test your knowledge from the week’s class.
My daughter loves coming to your center 3 times a week. All the teachers are great and regular conferences let me know how she is doing. She loves all the teachers, too!
Great experience and great results. My son is understanding more of the foundational math needed for his geometry class which in turn is helping his grade/scores improve. His tutor does such a great job in explaining. She relates well with my son. I have already referred Sylvan Lake Zurich to a couple family members.

I don’t hear complaints from my child about the lessons and I think he is doing well
We've been utilizing Sylvan of Lake Zurich for several years to supplement the education of our two children who are now both in high school. Ken Frysztak and his highly qualified team of teachers have been able to bring out the best in our students in multiple subjects including advanced math and reading. In addition to offering tutoring on an as needed basis, Sylvan has proprietary curriculum to help students catch up or get ahead in their studies.
Another tremendous benefit is the ability to take practice SAT & ACT tests with analysis, comparisons and specific recommendations for improvement. During this time, we're currently utilizing the online learning option which has been working very well.
