We changed to Sylvan ACT prep after being at another learning center for a couple of months. Sylvan taught the study skills, test taking tips and pacing/timing for the ACT. Extremely competant. ACT prep was on target and really helped with my childs confidance in studying and test taking.
Sylvan needs to advertise more on how their ACT prep is differant from other learning centers. We wasted valuable time and money.

The hours worked very well with our current schedules, even with our daughter's school and sports schedules (which were set before we decided to work with Sylvan).

I used to teach at Sylvan and know they really work-
You have many locations and it's not just tutoring the basics. Homework help, SAT help etc.... I can see us using you again when the kids are older. Small groups help the kids learn new things and practice skills they may not be quite comfortable with.
My daughter who hates school loved going and is now excited about going to school. That all came because of Sylvan

Great feedback and follow through on everything. Lots of creative ideas and suggestions for new ways of learning things and tools and tips for the parents as well.
I like the personal contact my daughter receives immediately by the Center Director when she arrives. I like the fact that my daughter named two of her Sylvan teachers as her favorite teachers when asked in a journal question for the day. I expected, rather assumed, that she would have named her day school teachers. Finally, I like that after spending 7 hours in a day school setting, my daughter is more than happy, and even excited, to go and spend two more additional hours at Sylvan. She walks into the center smiling and comes out with an even bigger smile on her face. That makes me smile. Thank you!
